We purchased a Remington Solar Ionizer 2 years ago and have not experienced any algae in our Arizona inground pool since. We love it and the clean, clear pool water we have. We’ve had to replace the basket once in two years and of course the anodes. But the savings in the cost of chlorine and other chemical treatments and our time more than compensate for normal wear and tear. We’ve repeatedly recommended this pool cleaner.

it's definitely more narrow than the original anode that came with my Remington brand Solar Pool ionizer bough at Home Depot about a 1 year ago. Anode screws into the Remington Ionizer floating disk just fine but the original wing nut is not the same - the threads on the original one were the same on both ends of the original. This one the threads on the end that screws into the floating disk is same as original, but the other end where the wing-nut screws into, has a bigger hole and threads. It came with wing nuts so no problem, but the original wing-nut can't be used if its still in good shape. Also the wing nut froze in place and I can't get it off the anode. i don't want to force it and break the wing nut as it's plastic, but it's aggravating that I can't get the wing-nut off to clean the basket that collects all of the debris that the copper anode sheds as it ionizes the water.

I bought this set of two coppers from another seller. I used the first one on 9/23/2020. It did not fit my Remington (both screw and filter screen). I found a single set of screw and filter screen came with two coppers anode so I used them. I removed and cleaned the Remington yesterday (10/17/2020), however, the screw was stuck with the copper (with the filter screen). I asked the seller for help, and the seller gave me a URL to purchase (the same seller).for $25.99 (set of two filer screens - I wondered if they would include 'complement' screws). As the other reviewers said that the copper did not fit Remington. $60 for two bare copper (seller said the screw and screen filter are complement - I could only use one)? Lesson learned, I will purchase the Amazon Choice (which includes copper, screen, and screen filter) for $29 next time. The seller should not say it can fit Remington in the first place. If it fits, then there would be no need to complement the screw and screen filter.

Other than being shipped only one instead of two which was corrected these are great. My Remington solar is a godsend. I used to get little black spots in my pool and that never happens now. Even when my pool pump died and I had no chlorine my pool was perfectly clear. I have friends that this doesn't work for because they have a screened in pool but I live in South Florida and my pool is open and it gets plenty of Sun to do its job.

Problem is wing nuts very very short. Hole size is too big for original size wingnut. Soo as copper wears and becomes smaller and shorter, the very very short wingnuts will not be able to hold screen or reach screw into copper hole. So will not last as long as original. Wonder why they do this?

The only problem was the size of the hole for the plastic wing nut. It was to big and wouldn’t let me screw the plastic screw in to hold the basket in place. Wrapped tape around the threads trying to hold it in place.Change hole size for plastic wing nut. Other than that it is a great product and will save you a ton of money on chemicals.

Was about to buy a 2-pack from Costco, but decided to check Amazon as well. Good thing because these also came with the 2 plastic screws for the same price. Saw some comments saying theirs didn't include the screws. The seller was Remington Solar itself and it came in a nice original Remington Solar package with the screws.
