Great Cymbal! (Lengthy review btw)
This review is very very similar to my 19" Wuhan crash review...Let me start by saying that, no, I'm not a professional, and no, I'm not the most experienced drummer (and I also apologize for the lengthy review in advance)... But do I care deeply about sound quality, and from a listener's point of view as well as a player's point of view, I feel that Wuhan gets a a bad rap when it comes to crashes...If it helps, I will also note that I play anything but country. Most of the time it's Rock, Metal, Prog, Jazz/Fusion etc. So I cover a lot of ground... And these are for rehearsing as well as giging: I use these just about every single day.Sound - This 18" thin crash (also bought a 19" crash) is another great crash. In my other review fir the 19" crash, I had said that it was a dark and more trashy sound, and that's even more the case here. I knew before I got it that naturally it, being a thin crash, would have even darker characteristics and be slightly more dirty than my 19". Again, I love that it's super dynamic and has its own sound and unique characteristics. What's a little different about this one is that it's much more sensitive due to its weight. I seriously can crash this with my hand, and it can get just about as loud as my 19" when I play. This is another great sounding cymbal for sure.Quality/Durability - Like my 19", everything is about the same... I've only had this thing for about a month, so as far as durability is concerned, I'll have to see where that stands in another four or five months at least. I try my best to be concious of stick technique, so I'm hoping I'll have these around for a while. This is a pretty thin crash, but I think if I'm being conscious of the way I hit my cymbals, it'll last me quite a while. The quality in general is great. B20 bronze alloy, and the hammering looks super cooljust like my other one... No weird hammer marks or dings (have had very small raw cymbal spots/dings on previous Wuhan chinas) but I'm still not a fan of the brilliant finish (that's just me being picky). All in all, I think this crash is really great quality as far as I can tell.Pricepoint - Being broke at the moment is really the biggest reason I grabbed up some Wuhan crashes in all honesty. BUT I knew that the price I was paying for these was better than paying the same or more for some B8/10/12 alloy cymbals. For as cheap as this was (I paid about $85 for this one in total) I think I really got more than I bargained for. This is another GREAT value for money.Overall, I say if you're looking into getting this crash, go for it. If you're a new player and want something nice to play on, or even if you've been playing 20 years and just want something new to try, I say pick one up. I blindly ordered these wuhan crashes off of Amazon and they are great, I didn't need to "go digging in a pile to find a good one" or any of that nonsense I see online everywhere, I just got them and I'm a happy camper. The other guys in my bands really dig them too, so nobody is disappointed here. Hope this helped.

Very nice despite the price
You don't need to spend 500 on a cymbal as long as they keep making these . I have the 18 and 16 thin and they wash great. I do not like the sound of the 20" or larger but could just be my ear. I'm on my 2nd 18 and 3rd 16 because I can get a bit heavy handed lol but I keep coming back for more!

Great Wuhan Value But Just Not For Me
Great Wuhan value as usual, but I returned the cymbal because it did not have the sound I was looking for. Wuhan makes great cymbals for the price, but as with any cymbal playing it is the deciding factor on which cymbals you want to use. We each have different styles and are looking for different sounds. This particular cymbal was not for me, but I have 3 other Wuhan cymbals that are perfect for the sound I need. I would have no problem recommending this product.

Absolutely amazing.
I purchased this along with the 16", and I am just blown away by how gorgeous the tones are. Warm, buttery smooth with just a hint of some dark Eastern vibes - if you want tinny, bright, and brash, look elsewhere. The finish is gorgeous, and just like any thin cymbal of any quality, I'm sure it will break over time if you have bad stick technique. You can spend 2x the money, but you won't be any happier with the results.

Can't go wrong.
You can't go wrong for the money. Hand hammered and beautiful finish. Thin cymbal provides a very dark complex washy crash. B20 alloy = industry standard and sounds better than other clangy dead entry level B8 bronze alloys in my opinion. Would absolutely buy again.
