WUHANWU10420 20-Inch Lion China Cymbal

If you're a drummer and want/need a trashy sounding cymbal this one is a winner. I'm a fan of Wuhan cymbals. I have thousands of dollars of Zildjian, Sabian and Paiste, these hand made Wuhan cymbals are an incredible deal and sound fantastic on recordings.There are several sizes of this cymbal on Amazon, I went with the 20", it's very LOUD but it has lots of different tones for creating percussion parts that are unique and outstanding. This cymbal responds to playing dynamics very well so you can get lots of different sorts of sounds by how hard and where you hit it. This much quality for this low of a price is a no-brainer, buy it if you like colorful percussion sounds.Good music to all

I purchased this cymbal on Amazon back in 2004. I still have it in good condition. I've played in several bands quite vigorously with it over the years and it has held up unexpectedly well. I tore through a Z Custom crash and Sabian AA Crash and this one has no cracks yet! Other Wuhan china cymbals I have had cracked not long after I bought them, but this one (20-inch) has stood the test of time. I played this cymbal in various genres and environments. Rock, Punk, Alt-Rock, Metal, Death Metal, Power Metal, Jam-Bands.. in very cold/dry and very hot/humid practice spaces, on large stages and small clubs. This thing rocks and has a very dark trashy sound. It sounds great on stage and in the studio. It has a strong presence in recordings and fills the mid-high range space with a brilliant trashy punch. It really shines when mic'd in stereo w/ a shotgun pattern. I am utterly impressed. I will be a very sad drummer when this thing finally cracks, but I will be definitely be buying another one.Care suggestions. Keep cymbals covered and mounted properly. Dust will dry out your instrument and cause premature cracking. Also I am a very heavy hitter myself, but practicing proper stick techniques will also prolong the life of your cymbal.This cymbal is cast with traditional techniques without modern milling and machining, therefore it is naturally going to be more brittle than typical commercial level cymbals like Zildjian, Sabian etc...

Absolute best china for the price, huge sound, long sustain. Works great for metal, jazz, rock, really anything you want. Durability is decent, for the price you cant really complain if it cracks, if you play it right you wont have issues for a while.

I bought this for our drummer. It cracked after 20 minutes of playing. That was certainly a bad apple ... Amazon exchanged it right away. The one we received then sounds a lot better anyway.As a bassist, I pay a lot of attention to the drum sound. This china really cuts through the mix and it sounds good with what we play (think Black Sabbath, Motorhead, ZZ Top,..)Good addition to a drum set if you play in a band I believe.

I purchased this along with the 18" and am quite pleased. You can't beat the price point and they have a great sound. Of course there are many choices and high quality brands available, however for the drum set I was buying these for...they are perfect!

I was not pleased when I received my Wuhan cymbal. From the first crash I thought I was hitting a trash can lid. I was looking for a much higher pitch tone. From what I've learned since having it is that this is common with the Wuhan brand. Ive ordered a Zildjian China cymbal with hopefully better results.

Found this 20" China on Amazon for $60. What a great price and sounds really good.Cuts threw on all styles of music.You will not find a better deal on a china anywhere.Get the 20" or the 22" they sound the best!!!

this 20" wuhan china sounds great for metal. It is big, loud, and ugly. recommended if you like dirty sounding cymbals.
