Great tee set up
This is a great golf tea set up. The mat is weighted enough that it doesn’t curl on the ends so it sits flat and it’s very sturdy to hold the ball. It also has set up areas so that you can set up your other balls that you wanna have nearby so you don’t have to go far. It’s very durable and slip resistant. Very happy with us.

Durable & Economic Option
I received this product through the Amazon Vine program free of charge to review. After a couple of disappointing outings with some different hitting mats, I came across this one and decided to give it a try. First impression was that it was smaller than I expected (not their fault I didn't read the size details). That's not a bad thing either. I wasn't looking for a full sized mat as I wanted to be able to easily move it around when needed. There is some decent weight to the mat which helps keep it in place when you inevitably chunk one. And having three different sections to simulate different grass lengths is a nice touch as well. Only drawback is that unless you are really tall, you will have to flip it around as it is too wide for me to reach the far side mat while standing next to it. But I'm not deducting any points for that. All in all, it really feels like a well made product that will last a couple of seasons. And at a fraction the cost of a full sized mat, it's a great value for someone who doesn't want to commit to spending a few hundred dollars on one.

Sturdy and nice surface variety
Great practice mat! The three different surfaces are nice for practice and they're good sized. The mat has a nice heaviness to it so it's sturdy and stable as well.

It's ok for light chipping
I picked this up to practice with out back and quickly found that it does not rest well on the ground if you're hitting with any amount of pressure on it. For light chips and putts (though you can't really get much of a putt out of it) it's fine. As soon as you start swinging irons on it, the mat jumps all over upon contact. I suppose you could drive some stakes down through it to hold it into place, but it certainly isn't heavy enough on its own to sit in place with any heavy contact.

Nice with Modifications
The media could not be loaded. The best part of this mat is the longer “rough” middle section. It is nice for hitting chip shots or short approach shots with a wedge. The “Fairway Turf” is, as stated, “To practice hitting putting pose”. Sorry, NO. I believe nobody is going to set a ball on that section, stand over it with a putter and line up an imaginary putt… HA! This portion of the mat should have come with a hole in it for a practice tee. So, with a very hot iron bar I created a hole for such a tee. I decided to use a hot iron bar so that it would melt and secure the edge of the newly created hole. That worked very well. The “Tee Turf” is supposedly for hitting shots with “real tees” (are there “fake tees”?). I put a couple of tees in this section and hit two shots. (See video) The shorter tee worked okay, but the longer tee (which I prefer) was difficult to balance with the ball on top. This is because the fabric of the “tee turf” is not firm enough to hold it up. It is not like inserting a tee into actual turf. But I did manage to get it balanced and hit the ball. I used my 7 iron for both of these shots with about 1/10th swing, just for a demonstration in the video. I will probably not use this section of the mat. You might think it would be good for using shorter tees but the fact that they are not held firmly in place and fly - who knows where, AND that you can get different length rubber tees for the “Fairway Turf” hole I created, pretty much eliminates the use of putting tees in this mat section. Also note in the video that the first section shows the mat placed on the bare ground. The markers indicate the forward motion of the mat from its initial position (red marker). It is obvious that after a few shots you will have to reposition the mat, which is not a big deal, just use the golf club to push it back to the starting position and align it toward your target if necessary. I decided to use a larger rubber mat that I was using in front of the back door to my house. I put the golf mat on it and, in the video, you may notice the mat did not move as much. I am considering melting a few holes along the edge of the mat to use tent stake to more securely hold it in place. I am concerned about the holes tearing and might create the hole with a metal rod and place a grommet over it. (I need to “noodle” on this a bit more.) Maybe I could sacrifice the large mat and glue the practice golf mat to it. That would hold it in place.

I love the mat
This practice golf mat is terrific for beginners. I love its texture, and the dimensions accommodate limited space areas.
