I've been making wooden puzzles like this for a couple of years, I always enjoy the process and this one has been particularly enjoyable.The instructions are excellent, very clear and easy to follow. The quality of the pieces is great, the pieces pop out of the boards easily and I barely needed the sanding paper as they came out so cleanly. Each piece is clearly labelled on the boards and they provide extras of some of the more delicate pieces which I didn't actually need but it's nice to have just in case. Everything fits up tightly and feels sturdy once put together, I did need to glue a couple of pieces in because I knocked them and they became a bit loose, but that's more my fault than any issue with the set. I used PVA wood glue and a few bits of superglue for anything I needed a faster cure on.Assembly was challenging but not frustratingly so, and it's very thoughtfully designed so each piece makes up a "module" which you then fit together. It took me about 3.5 hours to complete though it may take longer if you're new to these types of wooden puzzles. I really like that there's lights which are motion activated as it looks fab in the dark, and having the house and lamppost lit up add to the attraction. It's lovely that it becomes a sealed unit once assembled as it keeps the dust out and saves me having to buy a display case. There's tons of little details inside (like the rabbit in the house) which makes it interesting to look at and a great conversational piece.Overall I think this is a fantastic 3D puzzle, very enjoyable to put together and really well designed. It's excellent build quality, and fun to complete. I think its best suited to older kids (12/13 years plus) or adults. It would make a brilliant Christmas or birthday giftI would definitely recommend it. 10/10
