Iams Veterinary Formula Renal Plus Dry Cat Food, 5.5-lb Bag

My 18-year-old cat recently went in for treatment of an abscess, and they found that, as is true of many older cats, her kidneys are not fully functional. So I bought a bag of this product. She tried to get into it as soon as I set it down, and to my surprise (and delight), she is eating it in considerable quantities with no hesitation. As she is the original "that's not good enough for me" eater, I was surprised but won't question success! I don't yet know what effect it has had on her renal function; hence my not giving it five stars; that test comes later.

While I love this product for a kit with UT problems, we all really know it's just a matter of what the kit will eat. This works for us but I cannot continue to purchase via Amazon as it is very very very very much more expensive that ANYWHERE else, including shipping. Usually love Prime, just not for this item.

The food is good. My sixteen year old eats it well but the package arrived opened. It was shipped with other dry cat food but not wrapped in plastic and with no other packing materials. This is to expensive to waste.

My cat loves this kidney diet food... and her "output" has been awesome on it. Her kidney levels have stabilized. She's doing better on this than she did on Royal Canin and Prescription diet.Delivery was prompt!

There is no difference than buying the Iams Senior. Waste of money for ingredients made mostly of fillers
