Delta Faucet RP71718 3-Function Non-Shared Diverter Cartridge,Chrome

Bought the delta control valve body for a tub shower. Wanted to have spout, shower head and wand each work independently, but the included selector allowed shared flow between sets of each which would not work. This selector replaced the annoying one and allows each to be selected without the shared flows.My only issue was that it still clicks on each of six positions with every other position having no flow. I would have preferred just the clicks.

Used this to replace the valve that came with the Delta T11997-LHP Six Function Diverter Valve. Not this is something that I couldn't find clearly articulated to let me explain how I used this.I had three separate functions I wanted controlled:1) Tub Spout (this was a non diverting tub spout so the tub spout DID NOT have a little knob that you pulled to divert the water to the shower2) regular showerhead (came out from wall)3) Rain showerhead (came out from ceiling).The way this valve (Delta RP71718 3 function non-shared) works (in combination with the Delta R11000 3/6 Setting Diverter Rough) is that it allows you to control the output from your main volume/temperature valve (I used Delta Faucet T17097 Cassidy MultiChoice 17 Series Valve Trim, Chrome) and INDIVIDUALLY select which of those three "outputs" you want to send the water to.This is a unique part from what was included in Delta T11997-LHP Six Function Diverter Valve since it has no "shared" positions. With the 6 function valve there are positions between the individual positions where water would come out of 2 out of the 3 places I wanted it to come out (not what I wanted).The big disappointment with this 3 function diverter is that there are still 6 "clicks" as you rotate the handle around. I was hoping that the handle would only click into position 12 o'clock, 4 o'clock, & 8 o'clock. Instead it still clicks into 2, 6, and 10 o'clock as if it were a 6 position valve. Granted I do get the behavior I want as it basically shuts off the water in those positions (I say basically because it still dribbles out constantly, but is not flowing) - but the point is that this should be a 3 function non shared, 3 position valve, not a 3 fucntion non shared 6 position valve!

Worked once I received the correct one.Believe someone returned and did a Switcheroo.Had to reorder.It’s crazy what people will sell their souls for!

Easy install. Took my 3 way output rough in box, and made it an actual 3-way output shower. The plumber 'forgot' to replace the 2-way cartridge with a 3-way. "forgot'...yeah, that's it....

Works perfectly on 3 different shower heads

The main clock positions (12, 4, 8) work properly but the intermediate stops, namely clock positions (2, 6, 10) do not completely stop water flow. Then comes the question: why do we need intermediate stops bringing total stops to 6 in a 3-function cartridge? I expected better design from Delta and I returned the cartridge.

Worked great for our new shower. We installed a rain shower head from the ceiling, a wall shower head, and a handheld. Smooth transition from one source to the next. No left over drip, etc.

You buy a 3 function valve from Delta and find it actually will control 2 devices IE the shower head a hand held and both simultaneously. You have to but this cartridge to control 3 separate device IE shower, hand held and rain head. This is a Delta scam, you shouldn't need to buy a separate cartridge.

Opened up the package got an used broken part! Returned it
