Does the Job
I've been wanting to try making corned beef for the last few years since moving back to Texas. Corned beef is so hard to find here and costs way too much for what you do find. I caught a great deal on briskets and decided what better time to take the plunge and give it a shot. In case I totally messed up at least it wouldn't be a great loss of money. This one was a great price for the amount so figured to give it a try. The corned beefs turned out amazing, easy to make and this salt did its job well of curing and adding a perfect pink color. Now that I see how really easy the process is - I"ll probably order more of this brand curing salt and definitely keep making them. It's true once you have a homemade one the store bought pales in comparison. I do have a couple of other things in the near future to try...a type of bacon out of a pork shoulder and a Canadian thing from pork loin called peameal bacon which both need this ingreidient. If they turn out as well as the corned beef then I'll be needing this often. Definitely recommend

Works as it is intended
Good price and good product. Most of the time you only use a very small amount of the curing salt so this bag should last a long time. Ive used it twice already this hunting season to make venison sausage. Just a teaspoon per 5 lbs of ground meat. I made about 25lbs of sausage and it all turned out great. No extra salty tastes or flavors. If you need curing salt, I'd go for this one.

๐ค A bit of a learning curb.... BUY THE 2.5lb for BEST VALUE ๐ง
If you're trying to perfect your delicious meat recipe, curing salt (in general) takes some time to perfect. You may have some trial and errors for beginners but this doesn't mean this product isn't good. The Spice Lab's Pink Curing salt has a simple ingredient list, health benefits to help your food be better for you, product accuracy, and its the better value anywhere online (especially with 2-day shipping lol). I would recommend NOT to buy the 2lb bag and go for the 2.5lb, I accidentally purchased the wrong one. The 2.5lb is such a better deal/value so you have time to experiment and perfect your recipes. I would reorder again once I run out.... I would recommend :)

Had to try it and the process of smoking and curing my own meat :)
I purchased it for an experiment to cure after smoking some meat to try to replicate how people use to do it. Not sure if I did it their way or the right way but it was eatable. Would recommend to anyone who likes to try new things.

Great product. Great value
This cure works great added amount required to cure the pork I processed. Flavor was good color of the meat was what I am use to seeing and the flavor was exactly what I was looking to achieve. I will purchase this cure again.

Exactly what it says on the bag
Honestly, what else is there to say about it? I bought some, I mixed up a curing rub with some Montreal steak seasoning, and slathered it on a pork loin. A few days later I had back bacon, and shared it with some friends. Also, two pounds is close to a lifetime supply if youโre not a diehard charcutier.
