The Spode Store certainly makes the most delightful dinnerware and serveware, and this turkey-shaped gravy boat is no exception. And although this would be just perfect for Thanksgiving, it also could be used the entire Autumn season, or even year round as dining room decor. Without a doubt, this Spode turkey gravy dish looks truly beautiful, wherever it is placed.The size is somewhat taller than an average size jar of spaghetti sauce, measuring in at 5.5" x 5.25" x 7.5". The gravy ladle that comes with this, is the cutest thing ever: It's definitely the tiniest and prettiest ladle that I have ever laid eyes on!! This little cutie measures 6.5 inches long and conveniently sits just inside the gravy boat, allowing guests to easily serve themselves.The entire 3 piece set (gravy boat, lid and ladle) weighs just over 2 pounds, so it is easy as pie to transport from kitchen to table. Everything is hand painted, and must be hand washed only, which I don't mind doing at all.I also have the matching identical extra large soup tureen, so I plan on placing the 2 Turkeys together on my dining room table. They are going to look really nice together, I'm sure. And even though this is supposedly a gravy boat, it could very well be used for other holiday dishes as well, like cranberry sauce and/or vegetables for instance.I think this Spode Turkey gravy boat would be "right at home" on every single table at Thanksgiving, or all the time. I'm very happy I have it.
