Firstly HUB Requires!!!!! Only Bluetooth usage just so annoying. Connecting to Bluetooth method press the keypad any bottom what is located outside the door panel. Auto lock settings. Fitted the keypad and smart lock takes 5 minutes work for UK doors ( note!) lifting door handle required by human for operation the lock. Adding users finger print on the Aqara app easy and straightforward, works accurately and fast. Setting up the lock for smart home takes 2 days for me. QR code should work easy but it’s not! I thought it’s connected to the system but it’s not. So much additional settings must be done before the lock would be online. I’m using the lock with Aqara hub M2 connect the hub with wire to eero6 router making sure the connection is existing all the time to the lock. Ecosystems what I’m using with are Apple home, this was the easiest one I would say although the matter was trick me few times and needed to reset the lock several times. Alexa+ now this is the real challenge for setup but possible. Lock now works remotely, smart home integration not easy but ones is set up works shamelessly. Driving home, parking on the driveway saying to Siri I’m home, Siri opening the door while I’m get out from the car. Morning time going to work just saying Alexa open tue door lock, Alexa asking the access code ( can be avoided the access code with Alexa) and open the door. Driving to work asking Siri through CarPlay what is the front door lock status? Siri respond door lock. So yes once the lock set up properly will work shamelessly. Strong and good lock. Bit bulky inside the door but can be used to.

My Yale Conexis failed after eight good years, so I decided to try something different. Big mistake. I was tempted by the Aqara U200’s lower price compared to Yale, plus the added fingerprint reader. I did my homework, upgraded my door with a new handle and euro cylinder, and placed the order. I knew the mounting method was a bit odd — sticky pads and grub screws clamping onto the lock — so I even 3D-printed a custom part and screwed it in properly. But the problems started immediately. It’s so bulky that when you pull the handle, your knuckles smash right into the lock housing. Even my 13-year-old’s fingers couldn’t avoid it. Then came the actual locking. My door and new euro cylinder work fine; they’re not stiff, but there’s a slight notch where the bolt engages. My old Yale struggled a bit with this too, but never failed. But the Aqara’s calibration process couldn’t handle it. It kept thinking that notch was the end of travel, so it wouldn’t fully calibrate. They do offer a manual calibration mode — great in theory — but the lock just forgets it. If my wife hadn’t taken a physical key “just in case”, she’d have been locked out the first day. I came home, used the fingerprint reader (which is genuinely handy), heard the motor whir — and the door stayed locked. It either lost its position again or just assumes you’ll never unlock it manually so don't disturb the start and end positions. On top of that, manually turning it feels like you’re going to break something because it’s so stiff. In the end, the whole experience was so frustrating that it’s completely unusable for me. Back to Yale I go.

I'm giving the Aqara Smart Lock U200 4 stars. After having two Nukis in a row, I got frustrated with both the pricing of accessories and the slow response to software issues. While this lock has had its issues—setting up with Matter can be frustrating and I've seen others on forums having similar problems—the key is to properly follow the setup instructions from power on, especially holding the set button. It takes a while but does eventually get there. I run this on a Matter network with an Apple TV 4K and Home Assistant, and it works great. The software is actively being worked on, though it still feels slightly beta-like. There are a few features you miss with just a Matter setup without the Aqara hub, which is mentioned in the description, so double-check that you have what you need. In day-to-day use, the wife approval is high. The keypad, fingerprint, and HomeKey (which I love) all work flawlessly, with the fingerprint being the winner. The upcoming iOS 18 update this autumn adds Apple Home guest HomeKeys, which is a cherry on top. Overall, even though this smart lock has a few software updates to go before reaching its peak, it's without a doubt the best on the market for the UK. Until we get a solid option to handle multipoint locks, this is unquestionably the best UK option.

This smart lock has a range of compatibility options for various UK door locks. Installation was very easy and initial pairing to Aquara home app was easy enough - just ensure that you update firmware straight away. For Apple Ecosystem; if you wish to unlock with your watch/phone you need to ensure you have a HomeKit enabled hub that has thread border chip - the apple HomePod mini and later Apple TV with ethernet are required or upgrade your doorbell to the G410 camera which has the thread border hardware and you will find installation pretty straightforward so long as your WiFI signal strength and hub proximity are within range (true as of Sept 2025 at least). The keypad is well made and the finger print sensor is very responsive; giving additional access options as required. So far performance has been flawless once the calibration has been done - (it may take a few goes to make it consistent without error messages) Over all would recommend.

This is the second one I have had after the first unit was faulty. Sadly within 6 months the same fault occurred. Its a shame because there's a lot to like, relatively easy to fit, great security options, apple home key and the price, its quick to unlock and the fingerprint sensor is also rapid. Sadly after a very short time (and I was using it with the Aqara cylinder) the lock would jam and not turn, more importantly would stop unlocking meaning I had to start carrying a key again. Reliability has got to be the number one priority and it sadly falls short.

I can’t praise enough this lock. Very easy to install and setup. Very small delay to open, offers various ways to connect with different ecosystems, for me works seamlessly with HomeKit. Slick modern design. Thanks to great options in app it is easy to manage its sound as you can turn on quiet mode very easily and keep it working silently at night. Well worth the money.

I have a lot Aqara products. This time it is just very bad experience. The lock didn't work and faulty. The spinner doesn't turn itself while I could manually turn it easily. Every time I tried to run the calibration setup I could just hear the motor run something several times but not moving the spinner a bit. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it every time, with door open, and with the lock in hand. I just couldn't see the lock spinner turn. If that's only the issue it won't be such a big problem to me. Somehow it turned out worse because of the customer service. Amazon suggested me to go to Aqara website; Aqara website bot suggested me to go to Aqara app; Aqara app finally after questioning it offered me a link to submit a support ticket. Ok, well then I was just trying to submit. Then the even worse part happened. Every time when I clicked 'submit' the ticket the network will just broken and return after a while. It looks like just something trying to prevent me from bothering them. So at the end I could only choose to return. I never like the returning process of Amazon while I need to pack it, printing the label and labelling it, and drive to post office in working hours to deliver it. They say they'll only compensate me 9 GBP while the delivery here in Ireland will cost me 21 EUR min. I could only swallow the lost and finger cross the return and refund will go well.

In thread e quindi consumo batteria inesistente. Elegante, buoni materiali, assistenza che risponde nel giro di 1 giorno. Funziona ottimamente, si integra PERFETTAMENTE con Homekit Apple e plus con Apple Home Keys, permette accesso con impronta, codice, carta NFC (le card si possono programmare e telefono nfc: appunto Apple Home Keys), e ovviamente app Aqara. Batteria durevole caricabile via powerbank senza estrarla. Si adatta a tutte le serrature europee con gli adattatori a disposizione. Diverse funzioni e settaggi. Fantastica

Erg fijne smartlock. Makkelijk en in eerste instantie geen hub nodig. Wil je wel de deur op afstand gaan bedienen heb je een matter hub nodig. De Aqara hub M3 zal de voorkeur hebben volgens Aqara zelf. Welke andere hub weet ik zo niet. Het slot heeft helaas nog geen optie om in een staan van zeg 5 meter de deur zelf te ontgrendelen door detectie van de telefoon. Mocht je een Apple hebben is er wel veel mogelijk door Apple home. Ik als android gebruiker kan hier niet veel over zeggen. Vingerafdruk werkt 9 van de 10 keer zonder probleem en pincode altijd tot zo ver. Vergeet echter niet een noodbediengs cilinder aan te schaffen als je deze niet hebt. Dit houd in dat als er een sleutel aan de binnenkant zit je de cilinder nog kan gebruiken met een sleutel van de andere zijde. YALE heeft hier niet al te dure van en werken perfect. Al met al fijn slot en veel mogelijkheden. Vandaar 5 sterren.

The product is fine on its own and has good quality. The software component, however, is the main source of worry. I have spent four hours on the internet and in forums trying to get this to work with Apple HomeKit, but it doesn't. Instead, you must install the Aqara app, get all the features, and then hope that it works at all. I purchased this to replace my Nuki smart lock, but in the end, I installed Nuki again.

I used to be an Auguest user. I was debating between Aqara U200 and Schlage Encode. I endded up buying U200. The main function I wanted was Apple home key. However, I found the finger print function on U200 is way more convinenent, and I ended solely using it. It also has so many other good figures beyond my original expedition, such as auto lock once door close, kids friendly auto open/close with helped power. This is a huge upgrade to me and my family and a total 5***** start product! --- The only one thing to note is, you may need do an upgrade and reset before connecting to Apple Home if you happens to get stuck in the first path. After that no any issue.

Stopped working after 4 months, can get anyone to help with the warranty for replacement.
