Mixing it up
I've rated this pretty good. I have found that this works great with small application video taping that needed several microphones and line channels. I own a two channels mini mixer but I can't do stereo separation, simply because there's certain signal needed one channel and the other channel is a combination of two mic hook-ups making as a mono signal. This is where "Rolls mixer" come into play. Now that I have four to play with I can now record left and right channels for choir in stereo and others for piano and lectures. I don't need any more than that since I use on a weekly bases. If I need more channels, I can bring out the big guns, a 16 channels audio mixer but that is too big to lug around, that's why I found something small to carry and simple to set up. Like most mixers, it has a limiter letting you know if it's coming in too hot, it has adjustments for panning left and right for each channels and yes it does have the settings to power up those condenser microphone and a choice of either I/4 plug or mini plug headphone jacks. So if your looking for something small and not carry a big Godzilla, and that has some simple features and would you believe, it even run on batteries for field work. Read the specs. Try it, you'll like it.

Great little mixer.
Great mixer. Quiet, small and sturdy. Battery operated for field work. Great value. Also has wall wart. Small enough to fit in a gig bag.

Happy to find this little mixer. Great Product.
Great product. Be careful as this has a pre-amp between the mixer section and the XLR outputs. It is a solid pre-amp and boosts higher than some smaller amps can handle. BUT all you need to do is simply use the headphone monitor jack as your mixer output and away you go.Great device. Works perfectly on 12vdc without using the two 9-volt batteries.

Good for the price
This mixer is no-frills but it works great for my purposes. I was running condenser mics in the field and this mixer did the job. I'm not using as much anymore but it still works when I need it.

Cheap and works, no frills.
Easy peasy "just in case" little mixer no frills just 4 in, and 2 out. Cheap and works.

not horrible if you can solder
I liked the size of this mixer, considering it's 4 XLR inputs and phantom, but I had two issues with it.First and foremost, if the power connector was wobbled, even though fully inserted, the connection would sometimes break temporarily and the fast power cycle would cause a full-volume squarewave buzz that lasted about 1/2 second. A sudden full volume blast of squarewave is a deal-breaker for field recording. My feeling is that the post inside the barrel connector was slightly too small and didn't quite match the inner diameter of the male part of the plug. I got past this issue by soldering on a better in-line barrel plug via wires that I hung out the unused battery ports, and replaced the male on the end of the wall wart with the mating male. I only used AC, so giving up the battery option was no biggie to me. (Note, the DA-134 distro amp by Rolls does NOT have this issue, and has a much snugger fitting plug with no wobble at all. Hopefully they've standardized on this new/better plug part across their whole line and newer versions of this mixer might be better.)Secondly, even though it had enough phantom power to drive my Audio Technica 831R mics, it didn't seem to have enough volume out. I found myself having to turn channels up to 100% max to get them on par with the sound from the other mixer that had the gain about 75%. This was with average volume speakers. I felt like there wasn't enough headroom left over for me to ever encounter a quiet speaker, so I ditched it.As far as audio quality goes, it seemed ok to me. I used it for recording interviews (depositions) in rooms with traffic outside the windows, audible air conditioners, etc, so I didn't get a feel for how quiet the amps were during the short time I used it. I'd say it was good enough quality for depositions, but can't say whether it would be suitable for studio work, although a static installation where it was never moved might make the power cord wobble issue less of a problem.

I tried this mixer with several professional mics (condenser/dynamic) for high end video cameras. All of them gave me static noise in the background. It seemed the switches (phantom, etc) did not react to anything. I sent it back and replaced with an Azden mixer, that works perfectly (for twice the price, however).

Five Stars
Excellent product, but don't use it now. Transformer outputs are a signof good quality.

Great little mixer for microphones and PA system
I use this little mixer to mix multiple wireless mics into a church PA system. Fits our needs perfectly. I plug it into AC power, but it can run on 9v batteries.

No frills quad Mic mixer
The price was very fair.I was looking to buy a Mic mix mixer for a"Wet L/ Centre/ Wet R" guitar amp setup using 3 dynamic SM57 mics mixed into stereo isolated stereo balanced outputs.I didn't need EQ or monitor sends found on small form factor mix mixers. The pan controls allowed me to create the stereo.Included is dip switching for phantom pwr, and low cut rollout.I would have given it 5 stars, but there is no pad or dip slide switching.
