These bags fit well in the council provided food caddy when you fold down the top. This is easy to do as the paper is thick and the extra height when unfolded, makes the full bag easy to pick up. They hold moisture quite well from used tea bags if you dispose of them daily. The paper is strong, although I wouldn’t leave wet scraps in there more than a day as the bottom will be soggy. My council only allow paper bags to be used in food/garden waste green bins, which is why I tried these years ago. Although a bit expensive (buying the bigger pack is cheaper), I have stuck with them because they make life simpler, keep the food caddy clean and avoid blooms of mould in the bottom of the big green bin when you don’t have much garden waste. I used to use the old free newspapers to line the food caddy for scraps, but alas they were scrapped.

Great compost bags. Don't leak and a really good size. Do what it says on the box. Becoming more expensive now but are a good thickness and size for the price, especially as they don't collapse or leak.

Our council requested we change to these bags from the green cornstarch ones sold in supermarkets. This now my third order of these bags. They seem very sturdy even when wet/soggy food is put in them they do not disintegrate. Once the gusset is flattened out they fit perfectly into the small worktop recycling bins supplied by the council. I just need to fold over the top inch or so in order to close the lid, but this extra inch then gives me enough to fold over before dropping the full bag in the large green bin outside. Although she seem expensive, bearing in mind my last order for these bags was January, they are really reasonably priced, and I cook using fresh vegs every day. They hold enough for a good couple of days worth of fruit and veg peelings, left over food/pet food etc easily. This last lot arrived in just brown paper wrapping which isn't a problem as my previous order came in a box, so I just added these to the few remaining bags in that. Definitely worth buying.

Bought few of these now. I like that delivered in recyclable packaging. Good sturdy bags for compost bin. Don’t get soggy. We switched when council doesn’t recycle the starch plastic bags, but I like these better anyway.

Great seller fast delivery, the bags are nice and strong, great for putting in the food waste bin, and save having to keep washing the bin out.

A green top quality product

I use these bags in the small kitchen food waste caddy bin given by my Council. I'm impressed at how strong they are even when wet which can be fairly often with our food waste! The pack also has instructions on folding the bag so it stands alone which I have tried and works fine. I like the different pack sizes available here too which is convenient to order just what i need. I haven't had any problems with the quality of the bags and they haven't every split. I fold over the top and keep the bag in the caddy bin when I to go empty so that any moisture that has soaked through the paper doesn't drip. In all they do exactly what I want them to do with no problems.

Ottimo prodotto. Un sacchetto di carta resistente per tutti gli scarti alimentari. Certo non buttateci prodotti troppo bagnati perché anche la sua resistenza ha qualche limite. Ovvio 🙄 Lo compro da parecchio tempo.
