You can take as good care of it as you want, but you hold it whole sweating, and it is not moisture or rust resistant. It will, not might, but will rust. Either be ready for that or go for rubber grip dumbbells.• Rubber can chip. If you prefer to throw your dumbbells around and take no caution for it breaking or ripping or looking weird overtime because you just can't seem to gently place them down like you have some sense, then go for metal ones, not rubber.
