ORCATORCH D560 Mini Scuba Dive Light with 360° Rotatable Mask Clip, Black

I’m really impressed with this little ORCATORCH D560. For such a compact light, it delivers way more performance than I expected. The 650‑lumen beam is bright, clean, and perfect for night dives, low‑visibility conditions, or as a dependable backup light. One of my favorite things is how small and lightweight it is — the size is perfect for clipping onto a scuba mask, and it doesn’t get in the way at all. The included 360° rotatable mask clip makes it super easy to aim the beam exactly where you need it. The USB‑C rechargeable batteries are a huge plus. The battery life is excellent and having long‑lasting power in such a tiny light makes it even more useful. I also love the blue color, which looks great and stands out in my gear bag. Despite its size, the light feels solid and well‑built. The powerful lumen output, easy twist‑on switch, and 150m waterproof rating give me confidence using it on deeper dives. And for the price, it’s honestly an amazing value.

I received this light about a month ago. In all honesty, I was provided it by the mfg to review with the understanding that unlike scuba magazine reviews that are nothing but regurgitated ad copy, I would be completely honest. The Orcatorch D560 is a small light designed to be mounted on a mask strap with the included clip. It lists two lumen settings depending on the battery used. Either a standard AA or the more expensive SAFT AA. With a standard AA it is pretty bright. I don't have any scientific way to check the lumens but for it's intent as a back up mask light it is more than sufficient. With the SAFT battery this thing is nearly bright enough to be used as a primary. However in my area the SAFT batteries are $11 each. Standard AA is kind of a misnomer because a AA Energizer is not the same as a Eneloop AA or generic AA. There are noticeable differences in brightness. The Eneloop is better than the energizer but not as bright as the SAFT. The beam angle is acceptable for signaling and has a nice hot spot as well as an acceptable amount of spillover. The light itself is very nice and the size is good for a mask strap light or with the appropriate mods to it, mounted on a helmet for cave and wreck diving. The only somewhat negative feature is the mount and it's not that bad and is easily fixed. The mount slips over the mask strap as seen in the photo. At first it was secure in the pool and on a couple of quarry dives. It was on some cooler water wreck dives from a boat where I had an issue. I had already added a piece of cave line from the light to the mask just because I was unsure of the ability of the o ring clip to hold the light. That actually worked fine for a while. The problem came when diving from the boat on a hot day and the plastic clip seemed to soften up and a giant stride into the water dislodged the entire light clip. The height of the drop was roughly 3 feet plus it being on my head subjected it to an impact from say 8 feet into the water. Had I not added that line the light would be at the bottom of the St Lawrence river. Looking at the clip, I realized the issue and solved it by adding two zip ties as seen in the photo. A small redesign of the clip to include the zip ties would allow this to be placed securely on any mask strap and not be lost. The next issue occurred a week later on a different set of dives when the provided o ring broke. It appears the o ring is of something like 70 duro and those are not that robust. I replaced it with a stiffer 90 duro one. The good thing about the clip is that unlike other ones that simply hold the light in one position, this one rotates and actually clicks into several positions so it's not flopping around. Highly beneficial when needing to look at your teammate and you don't have to turn it off to avoid blinding them. It's also nice to be able to point it down to illuminate below you when doing something like a search. Less movement of the primary is required. I do like this light. The clip issues are easily solved and I understand that redesigning the clip and making new molds would not likely be economically sensible so the simple DIY fixes are acceptable to me. Acceptable enough that I am actually highly likely to buy another for my wreck helmet.

The ORCATORCH D530 is hands-down an awesome backup dive light. Don’t let the "backup" title fool you—it packs a serious punch. With 1300 lumens and an 8-degree narrow beam, it cuts through murky water like a pro. It’s been a game-changer for night dives and low-visibility conditions. The battery life is stellar. I was impressed by how long it lasts on a single charge, even during extended dives. There’s nothing worse than running out of light halfway through, and with this, that’s never been a worry. The titanium alloy side button feels sturdy and easy to operate, even with gloves on. Switching between modes is quick and intuitive, and the battery indicator is a nice touch—no surprises when it’s time to recharge. At depths up to 150 meters, this light hasn’t missed a beat. It’s compact, durable, and just plain reliable. If you’re looking for a backup that performs like a primary, this is it. Highly recommend it for any diver’s kit!

I purchased this light as a backup diving light in case my primary failed. What drew me to this light was also the fact that it could be mounted to a mask, or other piece of gear with the included hardware. The construction of this torch is high quality and it feels well built. It's made of aluminum and powered with a single AA size battery. I was surprised at the strength of the single LED powered by a single AA battery. It is much brighter than expected. It comes with some spare parts also so you can replace anything that wears out over time and a wrist strap. I have only gone diving with this light once since I purchased it and I decided to try it on the mask-mount. The conditions were in a fresh water quarry with limited visibility (~10'). This little light did well! I would not recommend the mask-mount, however. Because the light is small and made out of metal, it is quite dense and underwater heavy. Mounted to my mask, the weight of the light pulled down my mask strap and the light was never pointed in a direction that was very useful. Additionally, the on-off mechanism is difficult to use single handed under water, especially with gloves on. Therefore I don't recommend that you use this light mounted to the mask. I do recommend this light, however, as a backup light. It is small and compact, easy to operate, and has decent battery life on a cheap single AA battery. Beyond that, this light isn't really suited for much more than emergencies. However, if this build quality is any indication of how well built the OrcaTorch lights are I would highly recommend this brand, especially at these price points. Looking forward to getting my next OrcaTorch light.

I picked up the ORCATORCH D560 as a small handy dive light, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite pieces of gear. For something this small, the 650-lumen beam is seriously impressive — it cuts through dark or murky water better than I expected. The 360° rotatable mask clip is a game-changer. It stays out of the way, gives me hands-free light exactly where I need it, and makes a great back up for night dives. It also makes them feel a lot more natural. The rotary switch is another thing I love — no fumbling with buttons, and it works easily even with thick gloves. I also like the flexibility of using either a regular AA or a rechargeable 14500 battery. It's built tough for such a small light. Overall, it’s compact, reliable, and just works really well. Whether you’re looking for a backup or a solid primary light for short dives, I can’t recommend this one enough.

Very impressed with this flashlight. It measures a mere 9 centimetres in length, but don't let that fool you - this light is bright! In the box, you receive: 1. Orcatorch D560 At its brightest (using a 14500 battery), its CREE XM-L2(U2) delivers a blinding 630 lumens with an impressive 3,520cd light intensity. It feaatures an orange peel reflector, which is highle effective at reflecting the light emitted. Of course there are more powerful flashlights out there, but when you take into consideration the fact that this is only 9 centimetres long, the Orcatorch D560 certainly packs a punch! At night, on land, the beam has a maximum range of 119 metres. The flashlight is constructed out of aircraft grade aluminium, which is resistant to 1 metre drops and it makes the flashlight corrosion-resistant and pressure resistant, which is perfect for diving in the ocean, as salt water corrodes / rusts metal easily. If you use a AA battery, the battery will last for 1 hour 25 minutes, however you will only be able to access 165 lumens. If you use a 14500 battery, the charge will last for 20 minutes, but you will be able to access the full 630 lumens. To turn on the flashlight, simply tighten the head of the flashlight and it will turn on - it is advised that you do this before entering the water to ensure that no water gets in, as this will damage the light. As this flashlight is so small, it is also perfect for EDC (everyday carry), as it is small enough to fit into the smallest pocket in a pair of jeans. All things considered, I would recommend this to anyone who needs a sturdy backup flashlight for diving or just a powerful, waterproof flashlight for general day-to-day use.

I needed a small focusing light for my next night boat dive with my DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle). When I dive with my DPV or my large DSLR camera, both of my hands are occupied, making it challenging to see around me. While I do use two video lights mounted on my DSLR, which allows for some movement to see during a night dive, it's not as easy with the DPV and the additional video lights, especially in low visibility, caves, or during night dives. I also tried using a flashlight attached to my hand, which worked fine but wasn't perfect. The simplest solution was to order a flashlight that mounts to my head. Unfortunately, most head-mounted flashlights come with straps designed to hold heavier lights, and I always wear a hood. I found that many of them would slide off when I jumped into the water. My previous light fell 100 feet during a night dive, but luckily I managed to recover it. This ORCATORCH D560 is just awesome; it's incredibly light at only 83 grams with the battery. After my first use, I zip-tied the light to my mask strap. It's bright enough to clearly illuminate subjects without startling fish. A very convenient feature is that it uses AA-sized batteries and has a USB-C port for charging. I'm amazed at what Orcatorch has put together at such a good price. However, I wish this flashlight had an on/off switch instead of a rotary switch. Using the rotary switch requires two hands, and the flashlight can turn on by itself when you hit depth. While this isn’t a major issue, an on/off switch would add convenience, even if it increases the weight slightly.

Piece of crap! Do not waste your money on it. I paid $47 for it. Used it literally only 2 dives, the light kept going off & stopped working, & the red paint peeled off in several places after getting wet.. So the rest of my dive week no flashlight! Unfortunately, I bought it 2 1/2 weeks prior to my trip, the trip was 12 days long. When I got back home, it was say 32, outside the 30 day return window. I feel ripped off!!!

Probably a decent torch, but when opening the package, its more pink than red. Had to send it back.

Ich war super positive überrascht, dass die Tauchlampe mit 2 Akkus (14.500) von Orcatorch geliefert wurden. Andere Anbieter schicken manchmal nur die Lampe ohne. Zudem ist der Maskenadapter im Lieferumfang enthalten. Damit ist der Preis unschlagbar.

Starke Lichtleistung für die Größe mit 3,7V Akku ( im Lieferumfang enthalten). Funktionieren auch mit Batterien, da aber nur die halbe Lichtleistung. Wasserdichtigkeit noch nicht geprobt.

I wanted a small back up torch as I typically use my video lighting during dive. Terrible design. Torch flooded on the first pier dive at about 6m. When I got home I realised ther was rust forming on the edges already. There's salt residue inside the LED so there is no way to dry it. The torch worked (once!) and the brightness was ok but what a waste of money.

Nice backup for spearfishing in dark. The attachment parts are kind of joke. Atleast the ziplocks work so USE them otherwise you might lose the light.
