Surprisingly great sound! Do it!
These went on a 2006 Street Glide with aftermarket 6x9 saddle bag lids and ring adapters for the fairing. Pushing them with a marine RF Tmx400 amp. Sounds outstanding! Much more than I was expecting. I had 2 ohm Kappa 6.5 in the fairing and these are way way more robust and full. With the lighter and smaller magnets I was worried about sound quality but they really are the best sounding speakers I've ever bought. Dropped right in the lids and fairings, with zero modifications. Worth every penny if sound quality and volume is your goal. I can't hear my exhaust at 80mph... Outstanding work Polk!

I bought these for my 16 Street Glide Special. I have these paired with a Soundigital 800.4S amp and a Sony 5000 headunit and these speakers just come alive! All the women can hear me bump Return of the Mack, and I’m just letting everybody know that I’m back to run the show!

5 months and already broken. The center of the round speakers broke off. Pic isn't the greatest but you can see the silver ring at the bottom

Great sounding speakers!
I upgraded from the Polk db692 and db652 and the difference is night and day. The sound quality is definitely an improvement. I can now hear my music clearly at 75 mph on my Road Glide.
