Rainwater Diverter Kit - Fits Round Downpipes, Connects to Water Butt, Saves Water & Environment

I like that this kit has everything you need, including a drill bit, hose clips and so on.What lets it down a little are the lack of instructions, apart from some fairly basic diagrams. One thing that it fails to point out for the novice, is the importance of fitting the rain catching section at the right height in the downpipe. If you put it too high up the water butt will overflow and if you put it too far down it will not fill up completely. You need to drill the hole in the pipe at exactly the same level as where you want the water level in the butt to be when it is full.That said, the diverter is quite easy to install. You simply drill a hole into the pipe (at the appropriate height!) and then squash the rubber water catching section through into place. The plastic part that attaches to the outside of the downpipe includes a cover which can be removed to clear any debris that has come down the pipe blocked the water catcher.Overall, this is quite a good kit and I’m just going to knock off one star because of the somewhat limited instructions.

arrived well packed , all the parts are well made and durable. Very impressive design. Everything you need to connect to your water butt. So easy to attach, problem free, so clear instructions. Was worried about connecting the pipe, but found this and was so relieved. .

This is an ok set-The set contains everything you need you divert rain water into your water butt. The pieces fit together ’ok’, they aren’t perfect but work. My only real complaint is that the instructions are poor. There are pictures on the product page that help a tiny bit but important details are still missing. For example, when you fit this to a drainpipe the pipe into the water butt needs to be the same height over wise it’ll overflow-Ok for £20 and has everything you need. Just lacking quality and good instructions

This looks like a great kit.It has everything you needHoweverThe connector that fits the downpipe needs to go inside it as far as we could tell, there isnt a way to fix it to the outside of the pipe. The rubber fitting sits inside and your drilled hole allows the connector end to poke through.Unfortunately we dont have a downpipe we can actually access from the top , outisde to get the fitting inside it and cannot see a manner of getting the fitting to actually sit on the right place to get the connection through the hole afterwards, it seems impossible.It all looks do-able once you have found a way to get the fitting into the pipe but we havent really got a way.You get the rubber fitting, the outside diverter part, flexible hose, and barrel fitting plus cable clamps and washers and a straight adapter as an extra.Also all screws, screwdriver bit and hole cutter for a drill.Most confusing..

Where I live, if you divert some waste water for garden use (so having water butts, you get a discount on the water charges. So I harvest rainwater and try to only use that water for my garden. One of my butts had a rather clumsy water diverter that is ugly and leaks, so i ordered this kit to replace it.The kit contains everything needed to install the diverter, and is as shown in the listing pictures. There are clear pictorial instructions included but no text explanation. It was easy to install: the hole cutter worked well, and once I'd figured out that the black rubber thing actually goes inside the pipe to catch and chanel water, it went together well. I tested for leaks using a hose to run watter through the downpipe from the gutter, and it seems to work fine, although I think it wouldn't capture much of a light rainfall. I'll update if any issues show over time, but I don't anticipate any. Recommended!

This is a good kit as it includes all you need to divert water from round downpipes to a water butt. This set includes the cutters, downpipe attachments, hose, o rings, spigot for the water butt, screws and screwdriver attachment and jubilee clips. Very thoughtful kit as the only thing you need is the drill/ screwdriver and the water butt.The set is easy to use and there are different ways to use it, it can be used to divert water from downpipes into drains or water butts. The downpipe attachment is drilled into the pipe so can be done in situ rather than cutting a section from the pipe to slot in an adapter.This is a good set, with lots of options and items included to suit your needs. Happy to recommend it.
