The pillow is very soft and has strong support. My head felt very refreshing all night. I like it very much and will buy it again if needed.

The pillow itself is probably a 5 star pillow. It is made in Italy and well crafted. It is dense, has a cooling pad layer, and weighs in at nearly 8 lbs! It is all things I thought I would love. So why 3 stars... 1) I find it too thin and there is no way to increase the thickness. After 2 nights, I just couldn't do it anymore. I'm 6'2", 240 lbs, with broad shoulders. I could easily have used a couple more inches of height. I gave it to my wife who is a fraction of my size. She had the same issue - even she wished it was taller. 2) The pillow definitely tries to be a cooling pillow, but it just doesn't really work in practice. You can see the cooling gel pad in the product pictures, and it seems like it should work. There is a sealed (no zipper) fabric layer around the entire pillow, then there is a thick removable (zipper) decorative layer around the pillow, and then you probably have a pillow case around that. With three layers of fabric between you and the gel, I didn't notice any cooling effect. 3) The price is a tad crazy. I get it is hard to put a price on a good night's sleep, but you are buying some foam and gel wrapped in a pillow case. I guess if I really fell in love with this pillow, I might be able to ignore the price.

This pillow is HEAVY -- maybe like 5-7 pounds? It cools as advertised (really well) and keeps its shape without being too firm. Definitely a high-quality pillow. Having laid on a purple pillow, I would say this is pretty similar, but with a bit more cushioning on the outside, and it's quite a bit firmer (less give to it than the purple standard). I like the purple better for sleeping on, but this one is my favorite leg pillow between my knees if sleeping on my side, especially since it takes a lot to get this thing hot. The weight is really calming in that position. It's reallly good for propping myself up too, since it's so substantial. Also, this is an ideal pillow for getting things in the exact right position while awake in your bed because it's heavy and stays put. I sleep inclined with an adjustable bed for health reasons, and I really haven't found a pillow that does a good job keeping my neck in the right position while inclined. This one doesn't really do that either, but it's really nice for other things. I think $249 price tag is a tad high (which is why I deducted a star), but it is definitely a premium pillow.

I have had chronic neck pain and headaches when I wake up for years. I have learned to live with it as everything I have tried hasn’t worked. My wife purchased this pillow for herself but I saw the reviews and thought it might be a solution to my neck issues. It’s been impossible to get comfortable in bed and have many sleepless nights. I tried the pillow without my wife’s consent. I was surprised how heavy a pillow could be when I pulled it out of the box. It was well packages and had a touch of comfort to it. As pillows go, it was not on the cheaper side compared to pillows past so I am hoping it has some advantages as soon as I put it on the bed and played my head upon it, I immediately felt the cooling sensation on the back of my neck. The pillow was very comfortable and provided support. I only used the gel pillow and got rid of all the rest. I immediately felt the ease of pain on my neck and the cooling agent upon my head. This pillow is much different than other memory foam pillows. It is much thicker, better cooling and does not have the smell like other foam pillows. After a few nights of using the pillow there was a noticeable difference as I had less neck pain and was able to get a better nights sleep. I haven’t yet washed the pillow, I have washed the pillow covers as I am afraid to damage the pillow or the washer as the pillow is a bit heavy. I also like that there is no trying to puff up the pillow or go searching all over the bed to reposition as the pillow stays in place. Needless to say, my wife will not be seeing this pillow for awhile.

I've had the purple pillow on my wishlist forever. I had a chance to review this item and decided to take a chance on it, since it seems to be very comparable to the pillow I wanted. It exceeded all my expectations! It's nice and cool, keeps its shape all night, and as a side sleeper, fills that gap between my head and shoulders. I love this pillow and it has completely changed how I sleep.

I really wanted to love this pillow. I sleep very hot and love the idea of a cooling pillow that forms to your head. I was shocked at how heavy this thing was when I pulled it out of the package. I does live up to its promise of running cool, but unfortunately it just doesn’t provide enough neck support. The pillow is too flat for me. I need a thicker pillow. That’s just a personal preference though so I don’t think that takes away from others experience with it. I will not be keeping this pillow, but if you’re looking for a pillow to keep you a little cooler and are ok with a lower profile pillow, this could be a great fit.

When I first touched the pillow it felt really cool to the touch but after long contact it seemed to absorb my body heat and reflect it back to me. That said when it comes to my wife and I I’m the kind that always runs hot. I touch her and I feel hot, she touches me and I feel an icicle. Even though she’s usually cold at night she’s a hot sleeper and benefits from her cooling blanket. The pillow works more for her than myself. The pillow is very heavy and supportive but I can’t say the cooling is effective. Compared to other higher end pillows the comfort is comparable but still think it’s a bit pricey.

This particular pillow is the most amazing pillow I have ever seen in my entire life! The quality is simply astounding and the comfort level is out of this world! I love how the pillow soft cover is completely machine washable as well! the gel top pad is also pretty amazing! I really wish I could give this pillow 6 stars, but since 5 is the limit, I give it my highest possible glowing recommendation without any reservations whatsoever!!!
