I got this wireless camera to monitor my front porch. I like that you can record and take photos and control it from your phone. It took me some time to install. My wifi is 5 GHz which is not compatible for this camera, so I had to set it up with an alternate method which I struggled with for awhile. Eventually I did get it working but it was a bit frustrating. I found the online instruction manual to be much clearer than the little booklet enclosed with the camera so I recommend you download those instructions instead and wish I'd done that right away. The images provided by the camera are clearer than I expected them to be which is great if an incident should take place.

I bought this on Aug 11 2018 and I took us till today to install and set it up .Actually My Godson set it up for me while I was at work,The phone app cam hi was easy to set up and he had it running fine in minutes. How ever I tried to down load the software on my desk top and I got lost .He then told me I had the wrong software so Ill save you future buyers some time Its on page 18 of the instruction manual called HIP2P Client he had it also up and running in minutes. The picture for a camera in this price range is superb and night vision is way beyond my expectations You wont be sorry yougot this camera not at all We did however run the power cord and plugged it into an interior outlet . I also now ordered an extension power cord for this camera 30 ft for 8.95 here on Amazon.You wont be disappointed at all w/ this cam!!

This is the best investment! Someone has been taking things out of yard while we are gone. So i wanted to catch them. So i put it behind my light where it can't be seen. 9 days later she caught on camera. The video was so clear that we were able to put a stop to it! Im so happy that i bought this!

Every house on my block had security cameras except ours. Which is why our house was the yard that was used as a trash can all the time. A few times we even woke up to a police officer letting us know that the door on our van was wide open. There have been a few kids that ring the doorbell and run away. We got this wireless Wi-Fi outdoor ip security camera. It didn’t take long to install; less than two hours. As you can see from my picture, my husband did install it upside down. It still does the job though. I like that I can turn it on and view it through the CamHi app. This camera does have motion sensor. I love that because if you set it up for that, it will take pictures or video when motion is detected. It can also send your phone a notification of movement. None of the above grievances at my home have happened since we added this camera to our porch. So far, I’m really impressed. The only really bummer was having to figure out how to power it because our outlets aren’t near the front of the house.

I didn't expect the picture quality to be so good! I love the fact that it is in color, also. I first tested in my living room, to see what my dog REALLY does all day, and simply used the included wire to plug into my wireless router, and one plugged into power outlet. With the app on my phone, I was at work and watching my dog sleep on the couch, in full color, LOL. I moved the camera to my front porch and after a bit of confusion, as I am NOT tech-savvy, I was able to hook up the camera through my WiFi. I LOVE it! I love being able to be anywhere, and use my app to see my house. I haven't fully used all of the features yet, but it seems that you can talk through it, or record sound as well! There are quite of bit of awesome features of this camera that I am looking forward to playing with.

It was difficult to install only because the directions are not extremely clear . I had to turn to a friend that is a Computer Engineer and it took him 2 hours. It would have taken me forever to find the required passwords, UID's and other computer info it needs to make it work on my computer and phone. If you know all that stuff you will be fine. I'm still trying to figure out how to set the "Record" mode after installing the 64 mb SD card. Otherwise, I find it to be as good a camera as the far more expensive piece of junk I had before. That one was an indoor and the interface was horrible. Every few hours I had to get it back on my screen with passwords.For $250. it was not as good as this one. It eventually fell apart and self destructed from my using it OUTSIDE. . This one is great as far as installation physically outside Waterproof and weatherproof will make a huge difference. Installation could be easy...as long as you know computers enough to figure out what it needs to work. It requires inserting I.D. info from Router and computer and phone which might be hard to find if you don't have pretty extensive computer experience. The night vision is good. The clarity is sufficient in daylight.It does the job and the ability of their program to handle multiple cameras is really good.

I bought a wireless camera on sale for 3x the price with the same features as this one. But since the area I added this to has power available I wanted a camera I could keep on constantly to catch animals in my yard. The features that attracted me was the ability to record to SD card or cloud, motion detection alerts, night vision as well as the Wifi. The motion sensitivity is a little on the low side at ~20 ft but that is ok with me. The infrared night vision works well but you should be aware the camera is very noticeable with the red lights. The 720p doesn’t bother me, but it might for some people looking for detail in their security camera from far distances. The size of the unit is small and easy to install. Setup is ok since I have done cameras in the past but is not plug and play. You will need the CamHi app in order to connect the camera to Wifi. I really recommend this to anyone looking for a low cost outdoor camera that doesn’t need 4k resolution and has ability to plug in power.
