The directions for installing this battery are pretty generic and my notebook (Dell) wasn't exactly like the one in the instructions. You can read them and get the general idea of how to change it. A little common sense and you are fine. The battery was a perfect fit.

I was asked by my neighbor to help them fix a 3 years old 15-inch Dell Inspiron 7000, which stopped charging the internal battery and the battery level was always zero. Dell's charges around 100 bucks for OEM battery replacement, which is only 42Wh, and this non-OEM compatible battery costco only around 35 bucks and boosts capacity to 50Wh! So, I decided to do it myself to save some money and refurbish this MacBook with a brand-new large capacity non-OEM battery. I chose this battery replacement kit because it includes everything you need to do it yourself, with clear and detailed instructions. And, of course, the cost is 3 times less than OEM :). The whole process is simple and straightforward, much easier than changing a battery in Apple MacBooks (Apple never makes it easy for their users to repair their tech). The good news is that the battery is not glued like in Apple notebooks! All you have to do is disconnect the old bloated battery from the PCB, remove screws holding it, pull it out, put in this new shiny one, and then put everything back together in reverse order. It fits right in, 100% drop-in replacement. I also advise you to clean your Dell body inside out while it’s disassembled - use a can of compressed air and some alcohol wipes. This 3rd party battery looks just like the OEM one, all connectors fit in nicely, I had absolutely zero issues. As I said, it comes with all the tools you need to replace the battery and even detailed instructions on how to do it, but I strongly recommend watching a few YouTube tutorials first before attempting this repair. I actually needed a few other tools to pull out the old battery, but you still can get it done with what's in the kit. End-to-end, this is a complete kit with an excellent battery, and everything needed to get your Dell back in tip-top shape! And I have saved quite a bit of money doing it myself instead of sending it to Dell for service. I can't comment about its lifetime, the manufacturer claims it has Japanese cells and all sorts of safety features (overcharge, circuit-overload, short-circuit, temperature protection, and more!), and can be recharged 500+ times, so I'll know in a year or so and will update this review accordingly. So far, my Inspiron has booted up, and I'm quite happy with the new non-OEM battery, the battery charges file, shows 100% level, and runtime on a fully charged battery is longer than with the OEM one. No complaints!Bottom line:Yes, definitely get this RUEMIU Dell battery replacement kit if your Inspiron is telling you that the battery is kaput and save yourself some good money instead of sending it for service to Dell!
