Good homeschool resource for elementary
I like this curriculum. My first and third grader each have one, we sit down once per week and do 5 days of lessons on the same topic. I liked it so much I bought social studies and science.

Lots of valuable learning
Science encompasses a lot content. I love how much this first grade edition builds on and includes knowledge from the kindergarten science book. There seems to be a lot of valuable critical thinking about the environment and senses. For several pages the lesson is about observations that a child would likely do but might not actually take time to think about why or how. This is a great way to make sure these things are learned about.

Ok curriculum
180 Days™: Science, Earth and Space is a well-structured workbook that provides consistent, age-appropriate science practice over the course of a school year. The layout is straightforward and predictable, which makes it easy to use for daily lessons without a lot of prep—especially helpful for homeschooling or supplemental practice at home. The content covers a solid range of topics related to Earth and space science, including basic scientific concepts, vocabulary, and simple critical-thinking activities. Lessons are short and manageable, making them suitable for young learners with limited attention spans. The progression feels intentional, gradually building familiarity without overwhelming the student. The black-and-white format keeps the focus on the material, and the questions are clear and easy to understand. While it’s not heavily experiment-based, it works well as a foundational or reinforcement resource alongside hands-on activities or videos. Pros: Organized into 180 daily lessons for easy planning Age-appropriate science and Earth/space topics Short, manageable activities Clear instructions and consistent format Works well for homeschooling or extra practice Cons: Limited hands-on experiments Black-and-white pages may feel plain for some learners Best used as a supplement rather than a standalone curriculum Overall, 180 Days™: Science, Earth and Space is a reliable and easy-to-use workbook for reinforcing science concepts throughout the year. It’s a practical option for parents or educators looking for structured, low-prep daily science practice.
