What an awesome product
At first your ego resents it a little because it’s humbles you, but then you start to get the hang of of it, and the challenge becomes quite enjoyable. Meditative. It’s a forced layer of challenge I’ve never experienced before, it’s an ingenuous product. Helps to have a solid boom stand that gets low enough, or have a short base like from a snare stand.I’m pleasantly surprised about the construction too - I suspected it would just be a thin circle of rubber adhered to the surface of a metal cylinder, but thankfully the top of the cylinder is recessed - I’m sure I could measure by jamming something thin down the crevice, but I don’t want to mess it up. I felt with my fingernail and didn’t feel a shallow bottom. I can attest it’s actually has pretty good feel and response - not too bouncy, not too dead, and not too loud.

Huge impact on your playing!
The single most impactful and effective practice device or gizmo I have ever used. This thing forces your mechanics to be more controlled. It also reveals how your hand are moving differently which in turn reveals grip difference between left and right. Simply playing slow singlesnon this will impact you beats and fills. Practicing rolls and more complicated things will make them solid and controlled. It's expensive considering materially what it is , but in the end, it makes you a better drummer...

awesome for my son!
ordered this for my son, a drummer in training! he is looking to improve his accuracy, and this will do the trick! Recommended by his drum teacher. I thought one of our existing cymbal stands would be the right height, but not so- I need a boom stand to get low enough for him to practice while seated. excited that we now own one of our own! great recommendation by our drum teacher! (back in my day, you put a piece of tape in the center of your practice pad, or traced a circle from a jar lid?... this is super cool!)

Great tool, promotes next relaxation, it's really true.
I met the poster child of this product at NAMM. I can't remember his name but he has videos on YouTube where he's blasting away with this tiny pad.He said this pad promotes relaxation and now I understand why: if you're concerned about where you hit the pad, as you most likely will be, given you're looking at this product; then you'll never need to look down again: if you're not dead center, you will miss the pad!So you'll just sit with a smile on your face, looking straight ahead, not up and down, up and down. And yes it's very, very hard. A humbling experience....

Challenged but happy drummer!
It forces you to focus on your stick position. Which will enhance your sound on a drum because you will be prone to hitting in the center of the drum with consistency. Getting the maximum tone. It will also help you to better articulate your stickings and rudiments. If you can make the pad good imagine how you could sound on an actual drum. 💪🏼

Great Pad for Working on Accuracy and Technique!
Fantastic product! I saw it demo’ed at NAMM last year and finally got around to getting it for my teaching studio. I love it as do my students! It FORCES you to relax and fine tune your grip as well as focus on accuracy. The feedback for poor stick columns is immediate. It is also great for working on note quality.Highly recommended!

Tiny
Frustrating, but it is great for improving accuracy if you use it a little every day.
