CARPURIDE 9.26 Inch Carplay Screen for Car with Backup Camera

Having android auto for navigation and Spotify has become the norm in every vehicle I drive/own...however in a older vehicle that doesnt have it, you feel lost without that functionality. This carpuride screen has been the best purchase ive made for my wifes 2013 Infiniti G37 (non nav/touchscreen car). It's given me the android auto functionality and connectivity im used to in all modern cars, in an older car that would never have it. And for the price, it's pretty incredible to be able to add this so easily. I 100% recommend this to anyone wanting to add the modern connectivity features of a new car, to any older car!

The technical support is great! I actually like the device in general although it had for me three issues. a) the build in microphone has too low of a volume. To solve it I bought the microphone from the carpuride web page which did not improve the quality much. +$10, It took 15 days to arrive, which is ok as comming from overseas. So I no longer use it. I found, it is best to use the speaker and mike from an iphone, but this can not be configured automatically but must be done for each call. b) In case you want to use the aux cable you need also to put in an audiofilter as the car will produce static. That cost about +$10 c) The included firmware does not include the lines shown in the advertised images. The vendor communicated they will change that. I myself got through them a new firmware that has the lines. The lines are however static. d) there is a one or two day turnaround with the manufacturer if you have questions which i find is very quick. The manufacturer is realy trying to be helpful. e) As I ran into all these issues the manufacturer refunded my money and I can keep the device. The screen I like very much, I do not have access to newer devices from the company, so I do not know how they compare or if they have solved the issues. I give for the support 5 stars

Bought this for apple car play. The tablet connects to the car via bluetooth and will play my music/audiobook through the car’s speakers. It looks like car play; I can side-by-side maps and music. HOWEVER when you are on a phone call, the mic and speaker switch to the tablet itself, and, at full volume, the sound is terrible. I can tell that there is a person on the other end trying to talk to me, and that’s about it. Similarly the mic is crap so the other end of the call can’t hear me either. Same problem with texting. I can tell the tablet who to text and what to say, she will repeat my message to confirm if its correct and i can’t hear her. If i receive a text, it will be read aloud from tablets speakers - can’t hear it. My bf is an engineer and he is astounded at the laziness of the engineering and that this product was recommending by car&driver. Anyways, we scoured reviews on yt and reddit, and found one creative work around. You could use an aux cord from car to tablet which should make all audio come out of the car’s speakers. AND add an external mic so I could be heard on calls. But out of principle, I am returning this glorified phone stand. The only thing it offers me that a $10 phone stand + my car’s regular Bluetooth is a big screen. Don’t buy

I got this after hours of watching YouTube videos and search the Amazon site, however this product wasn’t for me because I can’t mirror my IPhone on this device. Now, let me be clear if that is not a big deal to you than this is the product for you! It is a great size if you have a truck or an SUV only because of the size of the windows in said vehicles. Just check the manufacturer’s compatibility as far as your vehicles may go. I regrettably had to return it because of what I mentioned earlier. Mirroring my phone was a big deal to me. It may not be as a big deal to anyone else. It was a seamless set up with no real deals straight out the box. I wish I could have kept it. I just ended up connecting my IPad which is fine with me, my iPad was an easy adj and I already have them so it didn’t cost me any thing to use it. If they are able to figure it out the compatibility issues I may order it again. I don’t live in the worst neighborhood but, u can’t just leave it in your window that wouldn’t be smart. I had to take it out a few times and throw it in my purse which was annoying! That is something to consider, idk if I am going to just have the radio I want out in my vehicle bcuz it is a 2014 Mazda CX5 which would cost me over 2100 which is insane! So for now it’s my iPad, no wires and I can just drop it in my purse when I exit the vehicle.

When I received this screen it had one of those clear plastic screen protectors that manufacturers usually ship these types of electronics with. Mine must have been shipped from the Sahara Desert or something because the protector was difficult to remove, ripped several times during the process, and left a sticky film on the screen. It was also rippled, a definite clue that it was exposed to excess heat. Since I have no idea if this was because of the seller or USPS I won't credit the seller for this issue but hopefully they will read this and maybe figure it out. Because it's a touchscreen this made the screen unusable. It took me around 30 minutes to carefully scrape off the goo using a plastic razor blade and glass cleaner (I miraculously didn't scratch it) and when I was done the glue that was removed looked like snow all over the place. Good thing I have a vacuum cleaner for my car. I should have taken a picture. I was too frustrated to remember to do it. As for the unit itself... once I cleaned off the goo it worked great. My car is a 1996 Mazda and the stereo has no Bluetooth or AUX port so I use the FM radio function. On a whim I also tried my cassette to AUX adapter that I used to use for my phone and a MP3 player and it works fine with that too. My Google Pixel 6a easily connected and continues to connect automatically when I turn on the car but it does take about a minute or so. You will think it's not doing anything and then all of a sudden a box will pop up on the screen with the name of your phone and then it's connected. I had to learn patience. Don't interrupt the process by touching the screen or you will have to reconnect manually. The sound quality from the built in speakers is adequate. I advise to not turn it up all the way though or there will be distortion, both in what's coming out of its speakers and the sound from your car stereo. Half volume is good enough. Be sure to set the volume to mute or lower the volume of Spotify or whatever music you're listening to when you're using Google Maps or you won't hear the Google voice when it gives you directions. I haven't made or received any calls yet. I also don't drive very much so it might be a while before I have the opportunity to do so. It will be interesting to see how well that function works and what the sound quality is like. I really didn't expect much from this unit but now that I have everything working to my liking I enjoy it. The screen size is fine for my small car. The mounting options are good. If you have to mount it on top of your dash I recommend using the suction cup mount so you can move it out of direct sunlight when parked. It's a very strong suction cup. If your dash isn't textured you might not even need to use a disk with it. Yes, it uses a lighter plug. The description says this screen works for all cars. Older cars don't usually have USB for power so the lighter plug is fine. Works as advertised in my opinion. I don't know why some people are complaining about it. It's not like the description and pictures don't show that it's a lighter plug. Adding a 12 volt accessory jack is easy and they sell them here on Amazon. Knocked off a star because of the goo on the screen or I would have given this 5.

I just got a new used 2016 Subaru Forester, which I love, and was going to install a replacement radio (did it before on other cars) but youtube videos showed that it involved too much teardown of the dashboard. So I did an internet search and in Car & Driver’s review of the top 5 CarPlay devices this one came up as #1. I was surprised because it’s an external unit and I was skeptical. But I bought it and it works great…after some tweaking, a software update, and some tech support. But the tech support was AMAZING - responses came within a day and they worked. So now I can listen to music, podcasts, text, and make phone calls. You may need to make contact with the folks at Carpuride to get the software update but once you do you’ll be able to connect with both the smartphone and the car’s Bluetooth and it works pretty seamlessly. I am very happy with this product and it looks great. An excellent solution without pulling everything apart or spending $1000 to have it done by a car stereo shop. I don’t like the power cable being as visible as it is but that’s a small price to pay for a bright 9” screen and excellent connectivity.

For the longest time, I kept putting off buying something like this because I assumed the installation would be complicated and not worth the hassle. Turns out, I couldn’t have been more wrong. The setup was surprisingly easy, and within no time I had everything up and running. One of the biggest advantages is that you can keep your original car radio and speakers. When I want to play music from Spotify or my own iPhone playlist, it connects effortlessly via Bluetooth. The whole process is smooth and user-friendly. Another feature I absolutely love is the hands-free functionality. Being able to send WhatsApp messages using Siri while driving is such a relief—it makes everything safer and far more convenient. Honestly, I wish I had installed this much earlier in my car. And considering the price, there’s really no reason to hesitate. Highly recommended!

Had enjoyed my unit. Mounted in CD slot. Use it in a 26 year old Chevy truck. Connects to Android Auto quickly MOST of the time. But sometimes your have to unplug the unit and restart to connect. It's a bargain for what I paid though. The microphone jack is an odd size so had to get an adapter. Everything else is good!

Je recommande vraiment cet appareil. J'ai contacté le service à la clientèle pour quelques informations supplémentaires pour compléter les options de l'appareil, et quel service ! Réponse très rapide. Je crois que j'ai fait le meilleur choix pour ce type d'appareil. 2023-09-10 Dernièrement, je me suis procuré "Steering Wheel Control", c'est tellement un PLUS. L'ensemble de leurs produits devaient être avec cet ajout. REMARQUE, ne pas jumeler votre cellulaire en Bluetooth avec la radio de l'auto. Au départ, j'avais les deux appareils et je devais souvent ajuster manuellement la sélection du Carpuride. Depuis que j'ai enlevé le cellulaire tout fonctionne à merveille. ---------- Before making the purchase, I read and re-read the various devices. I loved my choice and it works great. I also made the purchase of the support in a vent of the car and for me it is the best choice to place the device. Even with sunglasses, the display is perfect. I really recommend this device. I contacted customer service for some additional information to complete the device options, and what a service! Very quick response. I think I made the best choice for this type of device.

easy setup with an iPhone for AppleCar Play, bluetooth to unit and FM station connection to an old 2006 Ford Radio, clear super size wide screen, screen swipe sensitivity precise and with no lag! very happy with this product, window mount bracket is super strong. I have not setup the reverse camera but will do later on.

Please do not purchase this product as it does not work, I have been struggling with tech support who provide conflicting instructions none seem to work. Very very very disappointed.

Excelente, si quieres darle un toque fresco a cualquier vehículo sin tener que modificar el exterior, original o instalaciones raras y complicadas. Buen sonido, buenas funciones, rapidez hasta el momento no he tenido ningún problema o queja. Lo recomiendo mucho

El dispositivo cumple con las especificaciones técnicas y es más que suficiente para habilitar AppleCar Play o AndroidAuto. La funcionalidad de poder conectar Bluetooth directo al sonido de tu carro es muy buena al poder seguir teniendo el sonido original pero al mismo tiempo poder tener la pantalla habilitada conectada a tu dispositivo. Recientemente tuve un problema con la carcasa del dispositivo, aparentemente del calor/sol se derritió por lo cual se abrió. Escribí a su servicio de soporte y la respuesta fue muy buena al darme soluciones concretas aún siendo que mi pedido fue realizado en Junio del 2024 (casi dos años después de haberlo realizado)
