Well made bag, light weight and can easily fit bowling ball, shoes, and other accessories.

Overall, I liked this bag. First, the pros. The padding is fantastic! The shoulder straps have thick bubble padding to protect the shoulders, and the bag has thick padding on the back of bag at the top and bottom. This padding allows the bag to nestle comfortably against the shoulder blades, and against the lower back. The zipper pulls look heavy-duty. The ball storage area has a nice retaining panel that connects to the top of the storage opening using snap-buckles. This panel ensures that the ball does not roll out of the bag and onto your feet when you open the storage area. The "fabric" of the bag seems very strong as well. There are several storage areas for towels, ball cleaner, or any other accessories.Now that cons. The shoe storage area is not well designed. It appears that there is ample space above the ball storage area, but the shoe storage liner doesn't make use of all the space. The result is that the shoe storage area is too small. In the photos, they show the shoes positioned vertically. And, in fact, my wife's size 7.5 shoes could be positioned in this way. My size 9.5 shoes, however, would not fit vertically, but did fit (barely) if laid horizontally. If your shoes are size 11 or greater, they're not going to fit no matter how you orient them. In addition, there is a strap along the back of the bag that would allow you to slip the bag onto the handle of a wheeled bowling bag. Unfortunately, the space between the strap and the bag needs to be a few inches bigger. I could get the strap over the handle of my rolling bag, but it took some finagling, and tended to push down the handle. Similarly, there are a couple of mesh pouches on each side of the bag, ostensibly for water bottles. Alas, three of the four pouches are too small for even my 14 ounce travel mug, and the fourth requires some pulling and prodding to get the mug in there.Lastly, there is a large pouch at the back of the bag, but it's very thin. It appears to be intended for carrying a laptop or tablet. Inside this pouch is a smaller silicon pouch. I have no idea what that is intended for. I also don't know why someone would need/want to bring a laptop to the bowling alley. I think the bag would be better if the laptop pouch were eliminated, making the bag a little smaller and easier to carry.Overall, if your shoes are size 10 or smaller, and you don't mind not having a bottle holder, I'd recommend this bag.

I am happy to upgrade my old leather bag with the metal stand for the ball and the small handle on top for this bag.First thing is that this is a back pack. That makes it easier to carry and hold for extended periods of time even if it is just strapped over one shoulder. I don't have to set it down or have the small handle cut into my hand while I'm standing in line.The next thing is that the ball is secured in a little nest built just for it. It sits on top of a firm foam pad and then is held securely in place with a flap and some quick connect straps.The final thing is that you have all the room. Room for your shoes pockets for rosin and polishing clothes., phones, water bottles, keys you name it you can stash it. It is in a nice little package and sits nicely by your seat and you don't have to carry anything in your pockets or set it on the table where you may forget or lose the item. you can be confident that when you grab this bag you have all your items.

So, I don't own a bowling ball, BUT, I do travel a lot and like to take my wire work with me. This consists of several 1lb wire gauges, so about 10lbs of wire on spools. I've tried other bags and between the wire, the tools, and gems, the gems always come out bad in the end. This bag is perfect. I can put my tools and wire in the bottom and know that they will no longer damage my gems that I will put in the top.The room on this thing is crazy. Like a pocket for every little thing but structured in a way that fragile stuff can be safely stowed away from not so fragile stuff.Definitely recommend and not just for bowling balls!!
