The Box Is Sturdy
I saw a lot of reviews on this item arriving in a crappy box. I am happy to report that is not the case at all. I bought the 12 inch level and it came in a really nice blue plastic case. Really it's solid. The level? Wonderful. It's the most sensitive piece of equipment I have in my shop now. It's also humbling hahaha. Definitely a serious cut above your average wood working/construction grade level. I bought this to make machine bases and do rail alignment, and it will definitely meet(if not exceed) that need.Five stars.

Excellent
This is a great value in my opinion. The bottom has a gap in the machined surface, not continuous, but thats not really a problem in most cases. Just be aware that it won't span a short distance of around 4 inches, like the distance across the rails of a mini lathe bed, for that you'd want one of the smaller sizes.Mine came in a plastic molded case instead of wood. Probably more durable based on other reviews, but I wish they put some felt in the bottom or something softer. Will have to add that myself I guess. The only complaint I have with this level is the adjusting screw. It is very finiky and seems to kind of stick then move suddenly. Like many screw adjusters, I found that it worked best to go past then come back in a certain direction, though I forget which way seemed to hold the setting. If you don't do it that way, it seems to drift the setting as you handle it, so if you find your callibration kerps changing, try figuring out the direction to turn the adjuster to put it under load.I can't find documentaion of the graduation marks, but I think they are around .001" each. Often, adjusting the leveling feet almost feels like you didn't even turn them and the level will move a full tick. Give the level about 2 minutes to settle. It may look settled, but in some cases I have found it moves half a tick after a short time.Would buy again and will probably buy a second for easier lathe adjustment. Highly recommended!
