Low Cost, High Lumens, Daylight Balanced - Standard Socket (and fast delivery).
These are exactly what I needed. I do portrait photography part-time in a home studio. I used to use AC slave flashes to my main flash, but I would use 3200K tungsten bulbs for modeling. This was an affordable setup as a hobbyist, as this was back before digital cameras, when higher speed color films were daylight-balanced, and using a 80A blue filter for color correction would require and additional 1-1/3 exposure adjustment to compensate. Granted, with digital cameras and white balance, I could use tungsten lights, but their high wattage (500-1000) would trip the breakers in the small apartment I use. So these are the perfect solution: daylight balanced, high lumens, low-wattage, continuous lighting for studio photography. I'm also trying to move away from the overpriced (and environmentally worse) daylight-balanced CFLs. So these are win, Win, WIN!

**NOTE** These are LARGE bulbs!
Be advised, these bulbs are LARGE and may not fit if you are replacing a conventional bulb. I got lucky, and these did fit in my garage door opener. The socket is a conventional size, but the bulb is XL. These bulbs suited my needs because I wanted a warmer temperature light and more brightness. These fit the bill perfectly.

They are as bright as advertised

Very bright
I got these to light up a very dark garage. Believe me, they do wonders – if you look at them, they'll blind you in a flash. Hopefully, they'll last a long time since they're fairly pricey. If they last, they will be worth it If you want bright lights, you can't go wrong with these. I got two bulbs so I probably won't be needing more for a long time.
