Works as expected.
My 4 year old has one pair for school and one for home. He uses them whenever the noises level gets too overwhelming.I like them because he has no problem putting them on or taking them off by himself.

As an occupational therapist, I love how this helps my students who are sensitive to noise and sounds. My only complaint is that it breaks easily and the foam comes off easily too. I wish it can be sturdier although it is inexpensive compared to other noise reduction headphones.

Good for all children with sound sensitivity
I purchased these for my 4 year old daughter because she complained that her ears hurt while we were on a train ride in North Conway but she really wanted to see the fireworks for the 4th. They came in as expected and in the time I was told. They worked perfectly for her and she was able to enjoy the fireworks without any pain. I really liked these because she was still able to hear my talk to her so they don't block out sound completely. I would highly recommend these for anyone with a child that has some sound sensitivity. They are not just for children with Autism.

Not quite what we were looking for but may meet your needs
I purchased these for a client sensitive to external stimuli. He found that they fit his head and ears well (10 years of age and I would say fairly typical size for his age) but that they only provided moderate assistance in quieting the noises in his classroom. As he found them comfortable and found at least some relief (and is probe to exaggeration), I would give them a shot . The price seemed reasonable and they arrived quickly.

Perfect for my Toddler
I got these for my 3.5 YO to ride in the car with his baby sister. (She cries in there, he holds his hands to his ears the whole time). As soon as he saw these, he immediately put them on and now wears them the entire time we're in the car whether she's crying or not. They fit great too.Cons: They come apart rather easily. the ear cups are not permanently affixed to the headband, and additionally, they are only held on with little rubber pieces that come out with a little effort. That said, children should be supervised with these and should not be allowed to play with them (just wear them). The rubber connector could pose a choking hazard. I modified them by pupping a safety pin to the inside of the ear-cup (you can pull out the foam insulation) to prevent the connectors from separating form the ear-cups. Seems to work so far.Anyway, for the price, they're awesome.

... do not eliminate noise as much as I would like.
The hearing protectors are a bit too small and do not eliminate noise as much as I would like.

- not perfect, but they're still helpful
I work in a fourth grade ICR classroom. Throughout the day we often have two groups of students doing two slightly different things, and either one of the groups winds up being just a bit too loud no matter how hard they try to keep the noise level down. The other children find it very hard to stay focused, particularly during writing tasks. The kids make a bee line for these. They block out a fair bit of noise, though not nearly all. They don't eliminate the classroom chatter, rather they lower the volume. These work well for the majority of my students, but not the ones with the greatest attention deficits, and these only work well if students are already trying to be quieter than normal. I've coupled these hearing protectors with soft music to great effect.Pros:They do a great job lowering the volume of an already low classroom hum.Cons:They're just about useless if there are multiple students speaking at normal volumes, or if one or two students exhibit behavior than makes them louder than typical.

Come apart too easily
The quality of each part is good but, they come apart way too easily and hard to put back together or at all. What good are they for ear protection if you cannot keep them together?
