Compared to a standard 17-key model, this is about half the size and its keys are actually wider and better spaced; you just get less of them. Compared to a 10-key kalimba, this difference is less pronounced, but it can still matter more if you're looking to carry this instrument in a case. I found a case that fits this perfectly: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0142FNW4E (Smatree Carrying Case Compatible for GoPro HERO 8/7/6/5 Session) - it is made for a GoPro set, but fits this instrument perfectly and you'll be challenged to put together a more compact kalimba package.This is a very well made instrument and it sounds great. It is built slightly differently from other kalimbas: its keys are slightly thinner and it's soundboard hole is located on the back rather than front. It also comes with a thick pouch, which will require a bit of care if you decide to get the GoPro case, because it is larger than the kalimba and it will require carefully folding the extra material over the lower half (under the keys), to allow you to zip the case.If you're looking for a good 8-key kalimba, this is a solid choice. This item has also made me aware of Zither Heaven, which seems to be a small US manufacturer of quality musical instruments - I'd be happy to buy more from them, if I ever find a need for another instrument that they make. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful craftsmanship *by D***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2020* This is such a nice kalimba. The wood is a deep chocolate color and it is well made. You can feel it vibrate in your hands when you press the keys. The only complaint I have is that the edges of the keys could be rounded off . I can drag my finger across several keys on my 17 key kalimba, but the way the keys are on this kalimba I can't. But besides that it is great. The spacing of the keys helps my play the notes I want to hit and it sounds very nice.
