Have been eating these since my youth...
These are really good breaded and then fried in oil, then topped with cream of mushroom sauce. They are also low calorie, but very filling. They do not taste like pork to me at all, and I'm thankful for that. These products are all tofu based, so they all have a different texture than real meat, and personally I think the texture is better than most real meats. Although I am also loving that new Beyond Burger and that does indeed have the texture of real hamburger. Was wowed by that one. These are very good though so consider giving them a try.

Tasted Great!
I have had a gastric bypass and have struggled with veggie meat substitutes for years. They are either rubbery and hard to digest or crumbly and don't hold up to cooking. I also have to avoid getting too much soy. I love Loma Linda brand meat substitutes. Very good texture and adapable to many recipes and cooking methods. They have multiple protein sources in the product not just soy. This particular product I made with my own combination of breading. I used powdered smok flavoring and Italian seasoned bread crumbs after dipping in an egg wash. Great grilled...tasted similar porkchops but even better. I will certainly add this to my shopping cart again and again!

What, you haven't tried choplets?
These taste great. They are easy to cook, they are easy to customize, and make a great addition to any meal. The only thing I would mention is that they are not perfectly flat shaped Patties, but they can be flattened out to be used on a bun whatever situation you have where you might need them to be flat and Patty like. The price per can is decent considering shipping is built in.

Pretty Good...Is This Turkey?
The instructions say to bread these and eat them, but we just cut them up and use them as a meat substitute for vegetarian pot pie! It works great and actually ends up making a great pot pie that reminds you of a dark meat turkey. We will definitely buy these again. I gave it a 4/5 though because aside from the pot pie, I can't think of what else to do with them. Eating them on their own isn't a very inspiring flavor.

Great and easy to fry up
i use a bit of basic soybean/vegetable oil to just have a bit of nonstick properties...heat up oil, than heat it over medium a few minutes. Honestly, these things will go with anything. I cut them up to eat with some rice veggie bake with a mushroom gravy and its amazing. good texture. If you dont make seitan, this stuff is top shelf and affordable for the quality and quantity. these are pretty well seasoned as is, i tried first making them with oil and soy sauce and it was a bit too much. just pair it with something thats ready to go and its ready to go!

Make it yours!
I love to dip these in egg then in a lo carb flour mix spiced with garlic, onions and a spice mix. I fry them in a small amount of oil and they are thick, chewy and satisfying. They are great reheated with eggs for breakfast, or smothered in gravy with onions and mushrooms, and many other ideas. I use the juice when frying and as gravy. It is what you make it, and I make it tastey!! 😊

It's OK
Flavored gluten comes to mind. Egged & breaded and fried it is good with gravy or in a sandwich.

Good store-bought seitan
If you don't make your own seitan, this is an excellent alternative. I have used this for many, many years, since I was a child and I am now 67 years old. This product is very versatile. Can be used whole as a burger, can be ground to use in a loaf or as hamburger for things like tacos, can be sliced to use in stroganoffs. Since I am the only one in the house who eats this product, I usually freeze the patties in individual bags for later use. Freezing does not seem to affect the flavor at all.
