This Timex Watch (but not any battery, crystal, band, or strap) is warranted to the owner for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of purchase against defects in manufacture by Timex Corporation. Timex will not repair defects relating to servicing not performed by Timex Corporation. This limited warranty applies to US Customers. CasioWith the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.

Decent Timepiece (Updated)
Update (5 February 2020): This review refers to the Timex Atlantis Indiglo, which apparently has long since been discontinued. It's been about another seven or eight years, and this sturdy little watch is still chugging along. The features are exactly what I've always wanted over more than 40 years of buying watches. After two more battery changes for a total of three, I've managed to lose two of the three teeny-tiny screws that hold down the metal battery "cage" inside the case. Fortunately, only one screw is actually needed, but the trend is clear. I'm hoping to obtain replacements from Timex customer service. They're so tiny and easy to lose!I also had to buy a rough replacement off the Web somewhere a few years back for the little resin band that tucks in the dangling end of the original watchband. The replacement was a little big, but sewing it into place with medium-weight cotton thread fixed the problem with it wiggling around in a desperate attempt to escape for the wild. If this great watch ever dies, I'll give it a sober funeral and look to Timex for an equivalent replacement. I see several items on Amazon that might do the job. :-)P.S. A note for the experienced folks who routinely replace their own watch batteries in Timex products. I've noticed that the Indiglo display will stop working when the battery starts running low on juice. This is undoubtedly an intentional behavior to extend the working life of a dying battery. Replacing the battery makes the Indiglo display spring back into action.(original review follows below)I've had this wristwatch for nearly four years. I don't routinely waltz about in dusty or difficult conditions, so the watch's transparent face has only light scratching and remains very readable. I'm not sure whether my own watch's face is plastic or mineral, although it probably is plastic. The current description does say that new purchases come with mineral faces. The battery is still holding up, but I imagine it'll probably soon need to be replaced because most lithium watch batteries rarely last beyond four years. The wristband is comfortable and not difficult to fasten. All synthetic straps eventually break, but this one seems likely to last for another two to three years. I don't doubt that someone with a more active lifestyle might have had to replace the wristband by now.The Indiglo night-illumination background works very well, and I appreciate the easy ability to temporarily set the background illumination to glow unattended for two seconds upon pressing and releasing any button. I like the standard features that show the time with hours, minutes and seconds; the date with month and day of that month; and the day of the week in a simple, clear format. Using the chronograph still slightly confuses me, but that's only because I've had so many watches by now that I'm never quite certain how to start and stop the timer and run through stored laps without having to think on the button sequences. As a practical matter, the timer functions work well once I get past my own permanent, mild confusion over a few parts of the user interface of this particular watch. The buttons haven't clogged up yet and are comfortable enough to press. A person with arthritis might have some difficulty, but that's probably true for wristwatches in general. I suspect the buttons stick out enough to work for most wearers.I haven't particularly tested the water resistance, so I've little to say on it. I do run water and mild dish detergent over the watch on occasion to clean it off and haven't noticed any problems. Heavy sweat from exercise apparently hasn't yet munged anything. I never see condensation inside the face of this watch, which had been a problem with one or two others in the past. The watch does tend to trap wetness under its body and strap after I wash up, but that's unavoidable and not the fault of the watch. I remove the timepiece then and dry it off with a towel along with my wrist.I expended rather a lot of time and effort over several weeks on carefully evaluating the claimed features of different watches and on reading the associated user reviews before finally settling upon this Timex version. I wanted a device that showed all the basic information and wasn't uncomfortable to wear or otherwise annoying. This watch seems so far to have fit the bill. I'd buy it again if needed although I fully expect to be able to repeatedly replace the battery and continue to use the watch for another six to eight years before it becomes too worn. With any luck, the same model and quality will still be available then as a replacement.(By the way, if anyone is interested, the number on the back of my watch is "745 S4". I see another post complaining about poor bezel quality. There may have been at least one bad batch. Manufacturing runs sometimes vary in quality.)

Simple, easy to use, low profile, not thick or bulky, inexpensive
I have used this model of Timex watch for years. This is a great, no frills watch for those who simply want the basics and who also want a thin, lightweight watch that doesn't get in the way.I primarily use the watch for hiking, exercising, and running around town (class, work, etc.). It is comfortable and slim, just like I like it. I bought a bulky watch a few years back for a lot more money, but that one usually gets left at home in favor of the less-obtrusive Atlantis. As I noted before, the features on this watch are limited, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. For me, the Atlantis has everything that I really want in a watch with no confusing and difficult menus to navigate. It has a chronograph (with several laps), an alarm (which is crucial for backcountry camping when you don't want to carry your cell phone, but still want to get started on time), indiglo back-lighting, and a countdown timer (which I use primarily for cooking). It can also be set to 12-hour or 24-hour clocks. The main display shows time (hours, minutes, seconds), day of the week, and date. The Atlantis has an excellent battery life. I used my first one for ~4 years. The battery never needed to be changed in all that time. I have had the current one for more than 2 years and it is still going strong. When it comes to water resistance, I have no complaints. This watch is "water resistant to 100 meters." Though I would never take it diving or swimming, the watch has been sprayed with water countless times (rain and waterfall mist mostly) and it has also been accidentally submerged several times when I slipped crossing a stream or wore it into the water without thinking. It is still working just fine. One minor caveat... The included resin strap was pretty comfortable, but I did replace the band with a nylon strap. You can find these practically anywhere for ~10 bucks. In conclusion, if you don't need specialty features like a tide chart, barometer, altimeter, heart monitor, etc., this inexpensive watch will do what you need and nothing you don't. The price is too good to pass up!

Classic Design
Very nice watch. A bit smaller than I expected, but not in a bad way. I really like how the face is almost a luminescent green sometimes, depending on how the light strikes it. All the functions, i.e. alarm, chronograph and indiglo, work perfectly. If there are any cons, I would have to say that the numbers are a little difficult for me to read, as they are not a deep black like some other digital watches I own. I can still discern the time, just not at a quick glance. This is the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. But bear in mind, my eyesight is pretty diminished and I'm blind in my left eye, so I'm sure others with good eyesight probably have no trouble reading the watch face. Great watch, though, with a very classic design that you'll also find on some of the older Casios.

Superb, Excellent, Awesome Watch
Fabulous Timex Watch - I had seen Timex Indiglo, Timex Atlantis, Timex Expedition & T78587 (Steel Timex Indiglo) - All Brand New Display Introductory watches in India in a Timex Showroom in Bangalore in The Year 2002. Finally I did manage to Lay my hands and Own All of these models in between the years 2014 & 2015, Yes it was an Agonizing & Frustrating wait to see these watches and admire them from a distance. But Thanks to this Amazon India Seller, I finally bought it successfully to complete my Long waited & long lost desire. Thanks for a Wonderful Transaction & Re-Living my Nostalgia, My Collection is nearing perfection. Thank You !!!!

Decent Watch
Nice watch with many useful features. But its glass is prone to scratches very easily. Even rough fabric can damage it.

A good deal and great product
The timex watch arrived in 3-4 days. Product looked and felt same as shown in the app. Only one dimensional view was shown in app. More views were required though. The packaging was good and original. The product was found in perfect condition. Setting it up was easy. The watch is stylish, light weight and works well. The digits are little light and thin looking, but it's not a deal spoiler. I commend Amazon and thank them for a great shopping experiene.

Satisfactory
From the one other review I've read here, this watch is atleast as old as 2004 (product information claims 2014 model) is pretty old. It seems rather pricy for an old model otherwise I would say it is reasonably priced. What I liked most about the watch is its display which is visible in strong sunlight as well as in dim light. Indiglo looks very nice, especially in the dark and in low light. A small issue is that the top part of the display may sometimes be rendered less visible by a shadow because of the depth between the watch face and the underlying display. Also, I think the watch face is rather prone to minor scratches (because it already had tiny scratches on it when I received it) although the scratches are not easily visible. The watch seems sturdy and water resistant. (I've worn it while swimming but Timex's literature that came with the watch recommends a minimum of 200m water resistance for underwater use and this watch is rated only 100m, so I guess you may do so at your own risk.) It has an option for hourly chime (that also turns on the beeps while pressing buttons) and a single alarm that is as loud as a digital watch can be. There is no snooze feature. It is lightweight and the strap looks strong (and also looks maybe a little cheap). The undersurface of the strap has depressed bands which help hold the plastic clasp/band in place although this means dirt can get into the depressions. The buttons are rather hard to press which according to me isn't necessarily a bad thing. Even though the case diameter is 4cm, note that the display is obviously only about 3cm in width. So, if you have a large wrist (unlike me), this may not be the watch for you. The design is skewed more towards a geeky oldschool digital watch look (kind of like a slightly more macho classic Casio F-91W) so you will enjoy that design if you're into digital watches.I only give the watch 3 stars especially because it has a rather ridiculous limitation. It has a dual time mode which lets you change only hours and not minutes! So what does Timex suggest we do when there is a half hour difference between time zones? I don't really use dual time and hence I decided to keep the watch (as a backup and I like digital watches even this one even if it is hard for me to admit it 😁). However, if you ask me I think customers are being ripped off when they buy a watch (that maybe a rebranded old model) with functional limitations.

Excellent
The delivery was quick and the watch is awesome. Eventhough its a old model but still has its charm. I own a collection of tissit, citizen ecodrive and the rolex but this is the best watch to wear during work. Its the lightest and most comfortable...
