The Siglent SDS804X HD is a 4-channel, 70 MHz bandwidth digital oscilloscope featuring a high-resolution 12-bit ADC with a 2 GSa/s sample rate and ultra-low noise front end. ## Description

SIGLENT’s SDS800X HD series high resolution digital storage oscilloscopes are based on 2 GSa/s, 12-bit Analog-Digital Converters and front ends with excellent noise floor performance. They are available in bandwidths of 100 MHz and 70 MHz, have maximum record length of 50 Mpts, and display 2/4 analog channels + 16 digital channels mixed signal analysis ability. The SDS800X HD series employs Siglent’s SPO technology with a maximum waveform capture rate of up to 120,000 wfm/ s (normal mode, up to 500,000 wfm/s in Sequence mode), 256-level intensity grading display function plus a color temperature display mode. It also employs an innovative digital trigger system with high sensitivity and low jitter. The trigger system supports multiple powerful triggering modes including serial bus triggering. Tools such as History waveform recording, Search and Navigate functions, Mask Test, Bode Plot, Power Analysis and allow for extended waveform records to be captured, stored, and analyzed. An impressive array of measurement and math capabilities, options for a 25 MHz arbitrary waveform generator, as well as serial decoding are also features of the SDS800X HD

Review: Wow - It's insane what you can get in an Oscilloscope for under $500 in 2025... I also have the Rigol MSO 5000 and Siglent 1202X-E. I do use my scopes and all my test equipment every day for my work. The Rigol is great for what it is marketed to be, a grunty scope for an affordable price and it does that job just great, but it has a ridiculously noisy front end, especially when viewing any range under 1v. The Siglent SDS804X HD is a pencil thin trace and even down to 5mV it's far better than the Rigol, although I have not really used it for anything under 100mV range. The point is it really is low noise and what you get for your money these days is incredible. I'm glad these 2 companies came along, because before them test equipment was just way too expensive for individuals who want it for hobby or need it for work and are not part of a multi-million/billion-dollar company. Sure, I could be critical about some things, but c'mon this thing is $450 dollars! Update: I've been using this scope for 3 months now, I just keep finding new things that are great about it, like creating custom mask shapes, the averaging and Eres is done on the math traces instead of acquisition which I do not mind and actually prefer at this price point. I have other scopes that handle it in aquisition but to have a scope that does both is very expensive, so it's nice to have your real waveform on screen and have average and Eres to see what the signals look like in comparison without having to go back and forth. The scope crashed twice on me when heavily loading it but for the most part it runs fine when you don't enable everything at once. It is a very polished experience with reasonable specs.
Review: Awesome scope for the money! - Spend a little extra money and get this 4 channel scope instead of the two channel version. Works great, does a lot of measurements and math on captured waveforms, can be put into dot mode to view signals above the Nyquist limit. You can control it from a PC. As others have mentioned, it's easily hacked up to 200 MHz BW. If you dig through the specs, you'll find the ENOB is 8.4 and SFDR is 35 dBc. I started working as an engineer in the 80s. Back then a scope with 1/10 this one's capabilities would have come on a cart, weighed 80 lbs, and cost two years' pay. I also bought SDG1032X AWG. The scope and AWG can talk to each other via USB so you can do things like frequency response sweeps (Bode plots), etc. Like the scope, the AWG is also hackable for higher BW.

It's insane what you can get in an Oscilloscope for under $500 in 2025... I also have the Rigol MSO 5000 and Siglent 1202X-E. I do use my scopes and all my test equipment every day for my work. Spend a little extra money and get this 4 channel scope instead of the two channel version.
