Nice Design, challenging in practice
We like the design, the height, the way the space is arranged and the doors and visibility. However, the wood is very light and not treated or painted in any way (which you could do) and that leads to making it difficult to clean, the bottom tray doesn't slide out easily, and the animals chew on everything (successfully). and the ramp falls down all the time. Ultimately, we will be switching back to a standard all metal and plastic cage.

Will not by again
Product was difficult to assemble. The instructions were not accurate. Legs have fallen off due to screws being to short and didn’t go where the instructions said to put them. Basically had to build by hand because the instructions were not accurate. There is no place to set up food and water dishes.

Be prepared to do some rebuilding!
Though this habitat does look nice, the bottom tray doesn’t fit. Each side has a piece of wood for the bottom tray to sit on. On the left, there is a second piece of wood above this for the ramp to the upper level to sit on. The tray does not fit between these two pieces of wood like it should. The tray will go in if you remove the upper piece of wood but it won’t slide in and out—it sticks. Once you do get it shoved into place there is a space between the tray and the side wall for all their little droppings to go through——and end up on the living room carpet!

Easy assembly
Like the look and the height. However, the bottom tray is not quite wide enough to stay on the bracket, and it kept falling down onto the floor. We added additional braces so poor George didn't get loose and eaten by Thor Kitty!

Hamster easily escapes
I got this for my daughter for her hamster. With in a day or two her hamster was able to chew through the wood on the back and escape. We have had to wrap it in chicken wire but the wood is so thin she is able to just chew it all. Pretty disappointing. Thought it would be of better quality. Now it’s unusable because we don’t want to lose our hamster.

Good habit
I bought this for my flying squirrel. I had a large metal habit, but I live on the coast and the metal rusted. I bought this one because it is mostly made of wood. It was easy to assemble. I assembled it with my grandson. My only wish was that it was taller for our squirrel to get more exercise.
