It was not too tight or loose. I think I got the right size. I bought this with the intention of removing the butt pads and wearing it under dresses to avoid chaffing. However, this item is NOT a shaper. It is not flattering and holds nothing in. The waist band looks like I tied a rubber and around my stomach! It didn’t feel tight but it does not lay smoothly if you are soft at all. (You know what I mean lol. Not muscular) And the leg part folded up on my thighs with my first step. It fit weird overall and I do not recommend it unless you’re just buying it to make your butt look better in jeans. It will not look good under any thin material because all of the lines (seams) are visible. Also it sat high on my stomach but I could not get the back to pull up much higher than my butt crack lol.
