IRON °FLASK 40 oz Co-Pilot Insulated Travel Mug

To be completely honest, it was the stunning color of this Iron Flask Co-Pilot mug that initially drew me in—I absolutely love it and it looks even better in person. But after using it daily, I can happily report that its performance completely matches its looks. True Hot and Cold Insulation: It does exactly what it promises on the box. Whether I am filling it with ice-cold water for a long day or hot coffee for a busy morning, the insulation is flawless. It keeps cold drinks cold for hours and hot drinks steaming, without any annoying condensation sweating on the outside. Battle-Tested Durability: I have already accidentally put this mug through the ultimate stress test. I dropped it from a significant height—a really long fall onto a concrete surface—and it took the hit like a champ. There is a very slight, barely noticeable little dent, but absolutely no cracking, chipping, or loss of insulation quality. This thing is built like a tank. The Ultimate Convenience Win: If you travel a lot or spend time running errands, you know the frustration of an oversized mug that won't sit right. Cup Holder Friendly: It fits perfectly right into my vehicle's cup holder, which makes me incredibly happy every time I get into the car. I love this travel mug. Fits in large cup holders! Beautiful colors! It holds about 5 cups of water. It keeps your drinks cold and holds ice for about 2 hrs. It’s very easy to use. It also comes with 2 tops so that you can alternate between the two. Will order other travel mugs from this brand.

I cannot praise this item enough. I have another 40 an ounce thermal cup in white, but these cups are far superior. Every detail is excellent besides the cup is perfect for me because I need to drink at least 40 ounces of water per day. I find that using a straw and sipping throughout the day. Fulfills that requirement that requirement this Cup is so great in so many details. The bottom has a nonslip covering and is tapered so that it can fit in my car console aside from the Cup being such a large size with a convenient square handle I am 85 and I can still lift the 40 ounce cup with the handle provided, I’m very impressed with the two caps that come with it. One is a lift up lid and the other one is for a straw the straw gets inserted only one way because of design, which is very convenient and you’ll keep it from falling out if I drop it. Both lids are screw tops rather than pressure fit, which is so easy to remove and refill. They are of substantial weight and thickness as well. I appreciate the two black straws that come with the cup my other cup had a white straw which showed every lipstick mark and looked disgusting most of the time for the price this cup is well worth it and I would highly recommend it as a gift, especially for people who work outside or are travelling all day and cannot be trying to refill several times a day. when filled with ice content remain ice cold for more than 24 hours which us great for keeping ut on my bedside table for the morning. I’m so enthusiastic about this Cup. I would like to buy one for everyone I know.

Got the Aurora and absolutely love it! It’s a beautiful color but most importantly will keep my iced coffee cold all day. Period! Last week I left it full of ice (no water) in the car over the night and didn’t retrieve it until the following night so a little over 24 hrs and the ice was still ice and only a little bit melted. Mind you I live in Vegas and were experiencing 114 degrees daily. Kudos to Iron Flask for making a solid product. I came back to this listing to get another but the price went up a bit from just 2 weeks ago so I will wait for another sale but definitely need a few of these. Iron Flask - please make a lavender/ teal version of the aurora pattern. I beg you PLEASE.

This is a good tumbler especially considering the price. I have a collection of 40-oz tumblers from several brands, from cheap no name brands to Stanley, and they honestly all perform exactly how I need them to - keep water ice cold all night long and into the next day. The Iron Flask is no exception. I happen to quite like the simple design of this tumbler. I got the Pine green color and it looks as good in person as it does in the product picture. It does work well for holding plenty of water and keeping it cold, but I have some gripes with it. First, the lid is bizarre and not compatible with other brands which will pose a problem if it ever breaks or if I happen to lose it. It's a chunky hollow design and I can hear something rattling around within the lid - not sure if it's water trapped in there or what, but I can't see any way for water to get in or out so it's a mystery. The gasket where you insert the straw can be removed (with moderate difficulty) for cleaning. Next, the rim of the tumbler where you screw on the lid feels a little sharp, almost like I could cut my finger on it if I'm not careful. This area could use some additional finishing to remove the rough edge. Finally, I wish the straw it came with was a little better. The straw is narrow and flimsy; not as thin as a disposable straw, but also not anything robust and durable like what other brands include. This is a good tumbler at a fair price and I do like the overall look of it. It has some downsides to be aware of, but considering the fair price, I'm happy with it overall.

I love this cup! It's not as heavy as the metal ones, but my drink stays cold for a full day. The 2 kinds of lids it comes with and the 2 straws are excellent as well. I got purple/ blue color, it's really beautiful and I expect it to last a very long time

This is my very first insulated travel mug of my very own! It's color is amazing and it keeps my iced tea cold for a long time. It passed my "clutz test" (yup, that's ME). I Knocked it over and it didn't spill at all, so, YAY! The price was terrific!

I absolutely LOVE my IronFlask Co-Pilot Insulated Mug! It's very convenient having the 2 types of lids and while you are carrying 40 oz., it still fits in most cupholders. We really got to test how well it would perform while traveling on a motorcycle from Califrnia to the midwest; but especially through California, Nevada and Utah with temps as high as 106. This mug did NOT disappoint! We had ice through the whole day, and our water stayed ice cold for 2 days. Exactly what we wanted to stay hydrated! If you have any questions or concerns, I can assure you that the IronFlask company has great customer service and want to make sure you enjoy your purchase. Obviously, we couldn't be more happy with ours!

I purchased one of the 1.2ltr mugs in the Aurora design. I read many reviews first, and decided to try and add to my ever growing collection of travel mugs. Before officially using it, I decided to put it through a couple days of tests, first. DESIGN It looks good, is a good size, and so far I have found nothing of concern. I haven't had opportunity to check it's size in a cup holder, yet, but it appears like it should fit. Also a good size for cleaning without any issues. LEAK PROOF: CLOSED LID - I added a basic mugs worth of water in, fastened the lid, and held the mug upside down. Not a single drop. I shook it, and tipped it upside down again. Still no leaks. I then filled the mug entirely, and did the same thing to see if the volume of water made a difference. Result: still leak proof. STRAW LID - Obviously, given the design and function of a straw, when the straw is inserted it means it is not leak proof. Without inserting the straw, I tried the same tests, and while there are is some leakage, it is very very minor and a slow drip. Therefore, if the mug tips without the straw inserted, you have plenty of time to correct it before there is any significant loss of liquid. The mug also comes with two sturdy, but not entirely inflexible reusable plastic straws. SMELL/TASTE: All food/drink containers tend to smell or taste funny when brand new. I found that by doing my early days testing, that issue was non existent by the time it came to actual use. HOT DRINKS: I filled the mug with freshly boiled water, and tightened the lid. Every couple of hours I would pour a small amount into a bowl and dip my fingers to test the temperature. Doing this also meant that there was space for air to effectively cool the rest down a little quicker. That said, after a brilliant 13 hours, I still had very hot water, which satisfied my curiosity. I probably should have left it longer until the water actually cooled, but I personally wouldn't keep a hot drink for that long anyway, so it was more than enough for me. **Edit to add: I forgot about my drink one day, and it was still of a nice warm drinkable temperature after 24 hours. Absolutely thrilled. COLD DRINKS: I filled the mug with cold water, and added three good sized ice cubes, and tightened the lid. As with the hot water, I checked every couple of hours. The ice cubes melted within a couple of hours, but that wasn't a big problem for me - it made sense given the rest of the water was already of a warmer temperature. However, after 24 hours the water was still nice and cold - not necessarily ice cold, but absolutely cooler than lukewarm and still nicely refreshing. Due to disability I don't venture out too often so have yet to comment on it's ease of carry, but using it around the home is easy enough and I absolutely don't foresee any problems. Similarly, durability can't be judged as yet as it is still rather new to me. However, all in all, it is a fantastic product and great value for money. I am hoping to purchase more, in time.
