I ordered this one with high hopes as im a pretty big fan of scrub daddy products. To sum it up.....it works! Steam cleans! When you dip the sponge into cold water and scrub the heated grill, it cleans it off easily and doesnt leave any rust or gunk behind. Excellent for cast iron. I was able to oil up my grill when done perfectly! It arrived on time, came with an extra sponge head and 2 sponge daddy scrub pads. So far, worth the money! Review: Best BBQ cleaning system I've used in 40 years! - he Scrub Daddy BBQ Grill Cleaner Kit offers a comprehensive, multi-tool approach to grill maintenance. As a dedicated barbecue enthusiast with over 40 years of experience using virtually every cleaning system available, I can confidently state: this kit flat out works. I focused this review on its core performance against heavy carbon buildup and the durability of the unique FlexTexture scrubbing head over multiple uses. The kit is a true 4-piece system designed for comprehensive grill cleaning. It includes the main CaddyDaddy handle (often referred to as the brush), one replaceable FlexTexture scrubber head, one additional FlexTexture refill, and two Scour Daddy steel mesh scouring sponges. The CaddyDaddy handle is brilliantly engineered. It is thick, features a rubberized, non-slip grip, and is curved to apply maximum downward pressure. The handle's angle is strategically designed to follow the natural arc and weight of your cleaning motion, turning scrubbing power into effortless leverage. Furthermore, the design keeps your hands well above the hot grates, preventing accidental burns even when applying significant force to stubborn spots, which is crucial when tackling tough, baked-on residue. It also includes a robust scraper edge at the top for initial crust removal, a thoughtful addition. To truly gauge its potential, I tested this kit across three different cleaning scenarios on both heavy-duty cast iron grates and high-shine stainless steel grates. The cleaning action was effective on both types of grates, leaving zero scratches on the stainless steel. Using the robust Scour Daddy steel sponges for initial aggressive cleaning, followed by the FlexTexture head, successfully cleared over 90% of heavy carbon crust with focused effort. The contoured design of the scrubber head is a major benefit, as it fits snugly between the grill grates and cleans the sides better than flat pads or stiff brushes. For the absolute best results, following the suggested preparation steps for the FlexTexture material is essential: Temperature Control: Clean your grates at temperatures no higher than 350°F. Water Activation: Soak the scrub pad/scraper in cool or cold water immediately before applying it to the dirty grate. This activates the unique "scrub hard" texture for maximum power. Timing: I typically clean my cooking grates just before putting my food items on the preheated grate. Done this way, the Grill Daddy scrub brush gets 90% to 95% of all leftover baked-on grime off before the next cook starts. If done this way, the results are amazing. A key advantage of this system over wire brushes is safety—there is zero risk of stray bristles ending up in food. After six rigorous cleaning sessions (three heavy, three light), the first FlexTexture head shows wear but has not torn or lost its shape, representing solid value. Final Summary: The Scrub Daddy BBQ Grill Cleaner Kit is a high-value tool that balances powerful cleaning capability with safe, non-abrasive materials. Its ergonomic handle protects hands from heat, and it delivers a guaranteed 90-95% grime removal rate when the simple temperature and water tips are followed. Get this product and keep safe by removing the risk of stray wire particles in your food. P.S. The additional Scour Daddy steel sponges had the perfect amount of roughness to safely get stubborn mold off of my outdoor water fountain, making them useful outside the barbecue area, too! ## Features - Clean with Steam, Not Bristles - Scrub Daddy Bristle Free Grill Brush for outdoor grills, uses a FlexTexture core that firms in cold water, and steam from the grill help the head soften to reach into grates for efficient grill cleaning. - Steel Scour Daddy Power - Two tough grill sponges act like scouring pads to help scrub carbonized spots and cooked-on residue. Heat-resistant ArmorTec Steel mesh with interwoven stainless steel fiber supports bristle-free performance for routine grill cleaning. - Ergonomic and Functional - This bristle-free grill brush is a cleaning product built for comfort, with a levarage knob and angled squeeze trigger to help you rotate and control your grill brush as you scrub and use the grill scraper on tough buildup. - Built-in Tools - We combined the best parts of multiple barbecue accessories into our tried and true BBQ Daddy. Use the product's retractable hook to easily lift grill grates, strip away charred buildup with the integrated stainless steel scraper, and crack open a cold one with the handy bottle opener in the base. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0D5PFLYLP | | Brand | Scrub Daddy | | Brand Name | Scrub Daddy | | Color | Multicolor | | Colour | Multicolor | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 464 Reviews | | Handle Material | Plastic | | Handle material | Plastic | | Included Components | Grill Brush, Grill Brush Head, Steel Scour Pads | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 25L x 25W x 25H millimeters | | Item Type Name | Barbecue brush | | Manufacturer | Scrub Daddy | | Manufacturer Part Number | FG1000001001EA0EN05 | | Material | ArmorTec steel mesh & FlexTexture (polymer foam) | | Material Type | ArmorTec steel mesh & FlexTexture (polymer foam) | | Model Number | FG1000001001EA0EN05 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Reusable | | Product Firmness | Medium | | Product dimensions | 25L x 25W x 25H millimeters | | Shape | Rectangular | | Specific Uses For Product | Bottle | | Specific uses for product | Bottle | | Surface Recommendation | Grill | | Theme | BBQ Cleaning | | UPC | 810044137255 | | Unit Count | 4 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Scrub Daddy - **Colour:** Multicolor - **Handle material:** Plastic - **Product dimensions:** 25L x 25W x 25H millimeters - **Specific uses for product:** Bottle ## Images ![Scrub Daddy BBQ Daddy Grill Cleaner Kit - Bristle Free Grill Brush with Refill + 2 Steel Scour Daddy Grill Sponges - Built-in Grill Scraper - Temperature Controlled Grill Cleaning Tools (4 Count) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71GTN08cfcL.jpg) ![Scrub Daddy BBQ Daddy Grill Cleaner Kit - Bristle Free Grill Brush with Refill + 2 Steel Scour Daddy Grill Sponges - Built-in Grill Scraper - Temperature Controlled Grill Cleaning Tools (4 Count) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71laHXx3VBL.jpg) ![Scrub Daddy BBQ Daddy Grill Cleaner Kit - Bristle Free Grill Brush with Refill + 2 Steel Scour Daddy Grill Sponges - Built-in Grill Scraper - Temperature Controlled Grill Cleaning Tools (4 Count) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81nukc9D5ML.jpg) ![Scrub Daddy BBQ Daddy Grill Cleaner Kit - Bristle Free Grill Brush with Refill + 2 Steel Scour Daddy Grill Sponges - Built-in Grill Scraper - Temperature Controlled Grill Cleaning Tools (4 Count) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71139C29R9L.jpg) ![Scrub Daddy BBQ Daddy Grill Cleaner Kit - Bristle Free Grill Brush with Refill + 2 Steel Scour Daddy Grill Sponges - Built-in Grill Scraper - Temperature Controlled Grill Cleaning Tools (4 Count) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71cuaZbH6VL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Scrub Daddy BBQ Grill cleaner... *by S***Y on 12 September 2026* I have tried SOOOO many different types of grill brushes on my BBQ and they are all so short lived its ridiculous, and a waste of money!
