The North Face Suppertime Hat Outdoor Hat

Wanted for boating in hot weather. Bit underwhelmed as it’s neither stylish nor particularly functional. The brim is not wide enough for really good protection so it’s no good for hard core adventures and it has stupid irritating extra ties off the chinstrap presumably as a sort of device to keep hat on more firmly but not using chinstrap. I untied mine as they were annoying and now they hang forlornly. Also expensive for what you get so it’s a nah from me.

Bought this hat as a replacement to an identical one that I lost in Morocco. I love it because it packs and folds very nearly without being bulky whether you place it in a suit case or backpack. The shape of the hat also means you get protection from the sun on your neck as well.

In the photograph on the website the hat appears to be firm whereas in fact, it is soft and floppy - it also has a number of straps, not just the two shown. My husband refuses to wear it but I forgot to return it! I am sure it serves its purpose but not for a man who is not in the jungle!

the brim on this hat was perfect. I have had other sun hats where the brim was 60+ mm wide - too wide (I guess so you could hang corks off it Australian style. But this item is just right.

It's not going to win any fashion awards, but it does the job. It's light, the brim is just the right size, it's moderately waterproof, and it fits my head like a glove

Great hat, very light, breathable and water resistant. Also it doesn't give this totally 'hiker' outlook so it can be worn everywhere.

Nice lightweight hat. Some odd strings to tie down with - they look like they should have been attached to chin strap.
