SMALLRIG L-Shape Handle for Panasonic S9, Quick-Release Plate for Arca

Love my recently purchased Lumix S9 but it was just a little small in my hand. Using a wrist strap helped, but this handle from SmallRig was a perfect addition. The handle portion protrudes just enough for a comfortable grip but not enough to really increase the overall size of the body. It attaches easily with the included tool (which stores magnetically in the base), leaving enough room for battery door and cable ports access. The base also has integrated ARCA-Swiss mounting tabs (with a centering mark) which work perfectly with the mounts (Peak Design and 3LT) on my two tripods. Both ends of the base also include a fitting for camera straps, adding some versatility here. Highly recommended for all S9 owners.

Economical and the base works as a baseplate for my tripod. And a perfect mounting point for a wrist strap! First off, the grip does the job. Doesn't feel like I'm holding the bricked side of a 70s film camera anymore, because it gives a gripped surface that's not too thick, but thick enough to do the job without taking away what the S9 is designed for. The bottom plate functions like a cage, in the way that it mounts to tripods as an arca base plate, has a magnetic slot for the coin tool to tighten and loosen from the camera, and has a strap mounting point. So in addition to a simple grip, I gained functionality, too. It also doesn't add to the camera height much. Sits flush and doesn't wobble, and most importantly it is aligned nicely. You can't go wrong with this. Sometimes when I purchase gear like this, I still have a wandering eye for other options. Now, I scroll right past the other listings. If you're looking for a grip with functionality, ergonomics, and a balance of size for the S9, then this the pick imo.

The grip is an essential addition to the Lumix S9. Solid, well made, and useful. I believe it's already saved me from dropping the camera, once. I use it as-is for carrying the camera. I also bought the Smallrig wrist strap because I don't like neck straps. The wrist strap and grip let me carry the camera safely. For tripod work, I have a pro Miller tripod with a manfrotto plate, so I bought the with the SmallRig ARCA-to-Manfrotto adapter which allows me to quickly mount the camera on my Miller tripod. The combination of the three quality SmallRig products is great. I recommend them. If you have the Lumix S9, then I strongly recommend this handle that makes it easier to hold the S9 . It is much lighter than other L-shaped handles.

My first time putting it on, I felt the hole where the battery door opens and I thought it was kind of funny. Because I was holding it with the small 18-40mm kit lens, I didn't really think it needed it for filming myself. But that's one small use case of what this camera can do and over the last two months I've been using it for my professional videography business and buying MUCH bigger lenses. Even with the kit lens, it's WILDLY stable, Lumix IBIS is the best in the business. And having a little grip to steer it with is MUCH better when you're not aiming the camera at yourself. I've used the little tool that comes with it many times for other tripods and such, very helpful addition. But when I purchased the Sigma 28-45mm F1.8 I knew I NEEDED the grip and was glad I had it. That lens is a giant chunk of a professional tool. And not having a grip to hold the camera at my side would be just outright foolish. Now I wouldn't go back, and if you plan on using this for more than vlogging with the tiny lens that is included. I'd consider it a MUST HAVE.

Ohne Griff wirkt die S9 zwar kompakt, aber im Alltag etwas glatt und schwierig sicher zu halten. Mit dem SmallRig-Griff wird die Kamera deutlich dynamischer und liegt endlich richtig stabil in der Hand. Der ergonomische Silikon-Grip fühlt sich überraschend hochwertig an und vermittelt sofort mehr Kontrolle, besonders bei längeren Shootings oder beim Filmen. Trotz der soliden Verarbeitung bleibt der Griff sehr leicht, sodass das Gesamtgewicht kaum steigt – für mich ein entscheidender Vorteil, da ich die S9 oft unterwegs nutze. Der L-Shape Handle ist mittlerweile mein ständiger Begleiter an der Kamera. Er verbessert die Handhabung, bietet ein angenehmes Tragegefühl und macht die S9 insgesamt deutlich alltagstauglicher. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die ihre Lumix S9 sicherer und komfortabler führen möchten.

Funciona Perfectamente, encaja como si fuera de la propia cámara. La he estado usando unos días y el grip es perfecto. Además protege un poco más la cámara. No le añade mucho peso.

Le grip tient bien et rajoute l'accroche qu'il manque à cet appareil. La trappe pour changer batterie et sd est évidemment pratique puisque le grip ne quitte jamais la caméra. En termes de poids je ne rejoins pas forcément les autres avis je ressens à peine la différence et surtout je pense que j'aurais dû mal à me sentir en confiance avec quelque chose de plus léger. Une petite pièce métallique est fournie pour viser et dévisser la fixation, avec un emplacement aimanté pour la ranger, c'est pratique. Avec le coupon pour 38€ c'est un bon accessoire.
