Leupold Alumina 50mm VX-L & Standard Lens Cover Kit

I've used Leupold products for years and have always been pleased with their design and toughness in the hunting areas. These lens covers are top quality items, perform well and are completely quiet as they flip open for the use of the scope. They are a bit spendy, but quality and product integrity do cost more with anything.Steven W Elliott

Worth every penny! Expensive but you are getting a nice Leupold product. Opens from time to time but minor problem. I'm an extreme hunter that gets back in the sticks and the quality is top notch for what I need. Don't let the price scare you away. If you are like me and have nice optics...protect them!

looks real good until you try to put them on. large end goes on but hope you don't bump it ,because it will fall off . and as far as the small one it will not stay on at all . Very poor design, and then the money, very exspensive ! but I would still be happy with them at that price if they would only do what they were made to do. Very disappointed Leupold

I purchased this cover in January of 2013 before my moose hunt in AK. The cover went on easily and was much nicer that using the foam cover. It appeared to be well built. However, once in the field, the front cover kept coming off. Luckily, I was able to find it and put it back on, except the last time toward the end of the hunt, it came off and was lost. There is no way the cover should have continued to fall off and when I pay as much as I did for something this simple, I expect it to work. I was very careful to put it on per instructions each time. Fast forward. I returned from my hunt, and sent Leupold an email explaining the problems I had with the cover and asked if I could acquire just the front cover. Never received a reply. So, I followed up before this years elk hunt with another email to Leupold. No reply. I would think a company with the reputation of Leupold would at least be responsive to inquiries. If I did not already have to scope (which I like), I would go another route. Overall, I was disappointed with the cover, and with the Leupold company.

Very nice flip top covers. The rear cover keeps popping off. I don't understand why because you thread it on. Maybe the threads don't match up perfectly. I purchased them because my scope didn't come with covers. Very attractive. I am happy with them.

Just put a leupold vx-3l on my new rifle, so I couldn't put any old flip caps on it. Yea a hundred bucks for flip caps is crazy, but what choice did I have? Duct tape? Don't think so. They are nice caps though and fit real snug. No complaints except the cost.

When I purchased my Leupold Vx-L scope a few years ago I could not believe that Leupold would make a great product without also selling this accessory. Better late than never . . . Great product. Works great! . . . can't wait to use it this hunting season.

The covers fit perfectly, no problem installation, have not shot the rifle with the covers installed but they work great opening and closing.
