Dunlop Picks - Variety - PVP418 Tortex Standard - Pack 12

Primary Purpose: Dialling in thickness preferences for a beginner; multi-guitar matching There is a good reason Dunlop Tortex has been the industry benchmark for decades. I’ve used them personally for over 20 years across various electric and acoustic rigs, and this variety pack remains the absolute best way to figure out what gauge actually suits your playing style. What Works Really Well: Iconic Matte Grip: The signature Tortex powdery, matte finish provides unmatched tactile grip. Even when hands get warm during longer practice sessions, they don't twist or slide around between your fingers like slick celluloid or polished nylon picks often do. The Perfect Beginner Sampler: I picked this set up for my daughter who has recently started learning guitar. Handing a beginner one random gauge is a recipe for frustration; having the full spread (from flexible 0.50mm reds up to stiff 1.14mm purples) allowed her to experiment freely and find the exact balance of flex and control that felt comfortable for her strumming. Matches Different Guitars & Tones: Even as an experienced player, having the full gauge ladder on hand is invaluable. Thinner gauges (0.50mm / 0.60mm) work wonders for airy, acoustic rhythm strumming, while medium-to-heavy gauges (0.73mm to 1.14mm) deliver the snap, definition, and precision needed for electric lead work and tighter riffing. Durable Edge Wear: Tortex material wears down slowly and evenly without jagged chipping or curling at the tip, giving each pick a remarkably long working life. Bottom Line: Whether you are introducing a new player to the instrument, experimenting with tone across different guitars, or just want a dependable stash of legendary plectrums, this variety pack is an essential purchase. 5 stars all day long.

And for a good reason, they last very very long and they are plain matt textured and comfortable. I've used Dunlop plectrums religiously (and I go nothing to do with any religion) for almost 30 years now whether practising or making crowds destroying venues since the f**in 90's. They are always my go to choice. Never liked anything else. I bought this set for my young nephew who wants to learn playing the guitar. This set has a good set of thicknesses so one can choose which one is best for them. Mostly I use the almighty yellow (or orange) ones for general playing - they're really good for palm muting and hammering powerchords - and the red soft ones for the mellower girly strumming playing. Purple and blue ones if you're into bass playing. There is a flavour to keep happy all members of the family, even that dirty old grandad. Cheap, high quality, simple, comfortable and absolutely ergonomical when playing the axe. Can't go wrong with these. Once you find the right one for you you'll stick with them for the rest of your life, it's like a medicine but it gives you a hard on by having fun with your axe! PS: I read complains that the print comes off easily... Is that your concern instead of how well they feel in playing with these picks? Seriously now??

I found this multi pack great, there are lots of different size picks too choose from. The variety is great for people new to guitars hopefully you will find one that suits you in the pack without having to buy lots of different ones to find the one you need

My go to plectrums for over 20 years now. Easy to grip because of the power coating, come in a variety of different weights/thicknesses which are suitable for anything from strumming to shredding. Love the colours, keep them in a little amp style plectrum holder in my studio and everyone compliments them! Good value for money if you need a wide variety of picks, or want to try out some different options before committing.

Nice set and nice to have a variety to choose from. Makes it nice to try different ones out as a beginner!

Very good

The best pics on the planet. I love how they grip and the last for a while! Great choice of options for different thickness and sounds when you buy the mixed pack

Always use these pics for my acoustic guitar playing. Good grip and good sound

Too slippery, at least with my fingers.

This is an industry standard. If you never tried before - try, and you will never get back to any other pick

Molto comodo come Mix, per provare spessori diversi, ideale per capire cosa funziona meglio per il proprio stile.

The nicest feeling picks i've used.

Muy buena calidad, no se deforman facilmente y los diferentes ataques que trae el paquete los cuales son 6 son muy buenos, sobre todo las compre por por el material que efectivamente no se resbala durante toda la sesion incluso con el sudor se adieren mas.
