Well built, One piece, NO bolts, will last a lifetime
Well built, good heft and rugged handle, it is one single piece, no bolts, no assembly. I did not receive the same as what is listed. Mine is all black and the handle is welded directly to the bottom plate with the 4 reinforcements welded. The one I got is steel pipe and thick steel plate all welded together. The one in the listing is a cast steel base with an attached handle that is shiny metal. I actually like what I was shipped better than what is listed. The handle is a good height and I like the soft grip, I do wish the grip was a bit longer. It is sufficient for 2 hands placed close together. I will likely add some grip tape below the foam grip area for different hand positions. The tool is very well balanced and very rugged. I had looked at some at big box stores for around the same money, this one is better.

Sturdy
I haven't done my sidewalk project yet but the tamper is well made, sturdy, and certainly heavy enough to even out the landscape sand I'll be using. It's a good addition to my outdoor tool collection.
