Bought for my Nephew. He absolutely loves it.

Pretty basic ideal for very young child

This little spaceman robot is a great fun toy for younger kids who will love it – however, I think those aged 5+ would very quickly be bored with it as it has a limited repertoire of actions and no remote controls. It is interactive and can follow a limited range of voice and touch commands (these are listed in the instructions, they include “sing a song” and “dance for me”) – when given a command it will carry it out in full before accepting a new command. It also has a voice recording and repeating function. When switched on it is pretty loud but there is a volume control. If left inactive for 15 mins it will go to sleep to conserve battery power. The robot is rechargeable – there is a small plastic bag in the box that contains a lithium battery, a USB cable, a mini screwdriver and a couple of double-sided sticky pads. The battery compartment is in the spaceman’s backpack - the cover is secured in place with a screw (use the mini screwdriver supplied). The battery, which was fully charged, connects to the “connecting line” - it's very easy to do, then stick the battery to the inside of the compartment using a sticky pad to prevent it from moving around. The price at the time of writing is £22.99. It would make a great gift.

I picked up an astronaut projector for my granddaughters bedroom and thought this would be the perfect accompaniment, and it is, if she is ever allowed to play with it! So far everyone who has seen it has expressed a desire to own one, and that includes sixty somethings, even the dogs like it without trying to kill it on sight, though the cat is his usual suspicious self. It does everything it says on the box and is simplicity to use so I have no doubt that once shown a younger child could operate this. A nice touch is the screw on battery cover given the target user demographic.

it’s ok a bit pricey though! over £20 , it reacts to kids touching it in certain area of its body and they got bored with working out where to touch it to make it do whatever far easier to have a Remote and it’s only small so read the spec

My robot doesn’t need batteries a plus. It comes with a rechargeable pack, charged by USB. The cable and a screwdriver. My robot has an American child voice but it is reasonably clear. Its instructions come with 12 voice commands. You have to say them quite loud and sometimes it does its own thing instead and you have to wait till it’s finished. This can be annoying. It came with charge so ready to play. It seems quite expensive but is a fun little robot.

This REMOKING Robot Toy is really good fun. It was easy to set up and get going; just insert the battery pack into the compartment on the astronauts back pack - battery and small screwdriver provided. The robot has LED eyes that light up and change shapes. The arms can be physically moved up or down and there are wheels on the bottoms of his feet which have rubber bands around to provide more grip. In dancing mode, it is really funny, doing robot type moves around to the music. There are limited voice repeating and recording functions of 8 seconds recording each time, and 3 recordings in total. Touch the sensor area and the robot will move forwards, backwards, left, right and spin around. Good fun for younger children (and adults) to enjoy a bit of silliness. USB charging cable provided plus an instructions leaflet. Priced at £22.99 at the time of this review
