I think that the two are probably the same. I have never had pure cocoa mass/liquor before, but I would think that both are pure cocoa. However, the liquor may have sugar in it, contrary to bakers which has no sugar. I hope that helps. God bless!

Morning Ruth! Just took the packet off the shelf to have another look! I will not be defeated! Being American myself, I know they are not as specific as we are here in the UK with what a product contains but on the front of the packet it states in bold writing that Bakers Unsweetened Baking Chocolate Bar is 100% All Natural Cacao. Better info?? Nancy.
