Renegade Game Studios Altiplano Game for 2-5 Players Aged 12 & Up

I bought Altiplano on a whim. I really enjoy almost anything that is put out by Renegade and so, I decided to give this a try.There are a LOT of details to be attended to in this game - that is a fact. But, they are all logical and it is surprisingly fun to try and "juggle" all of them while collecting resources. What makes everything even more interesting is that fact that each player has a special ability that tends to slant their objectives a little.This game has an echo of Orleans to it, but I find this infintely superior. The addition of a warehouse that has an ordering system to it is one of the things that makes it better. In addition, the movement of your pieces around a central hub also makes this game far more interesting to me.The only negative that I can see, is that there is no really good system other than tons of baggies, to store all the pieces. Setting up the game is a pain in the butt because the number of pieces used vary depending on the number of players. It is certainly worth searching for plans to construct an organizer out of foamcore online. I found an exceptional plan that should make setup considerably easier.An expansion is coming out very soon - possibly out by the time you read this. I will most definitely pick that up. Perhaps one of my favorite games! Be prepared for a farily lengthy game though. You won't mind it. I actually wanted to play more even after it ended. Renegade is Aces in my book!

This game seems very complex at first glance but it doesn't take long to figure out. Like all good games, it's different every time you play it depending upon your starting tile and what you are able to access. There is a bit of repetitive action in the beginning as you try to acquire different resources but the repetition also helps the learning curve. There is continuous play action for every player so wait time is tremendously diminished. This works well if you have someone in your group that tends to slow down the game play. The first player token falls apart so plan to replace it. Overall, this is a fun and surprisingly challenging game!

Great game with beautiful components. Has lots of choices for players to make, plays in just over an hour, plays 2-4 players but we enjoy it as a two or three player game best. Did I mention the components?

Renegade Game Studios knocked it out of the park again. This is one of our all time favorites. Although it's a complicated set up (as there are hundreds of pieces), we find that it is very easy to share with our friends. The idea that you are never truly losing resources is helpful for newer gamers as they aren't as likely to back themselves into a corner and get frustrated. The alpacas are adorable and it is all around good fun!

This is a great game. My parts were ungluing when I got my copy, but its still a cool game. Takes a bit of time to set up and play but worth it. I suggest you take all parts and seperate according parts and tiles in the same bag. It cuts down on set up time drastically.

Altiplano is a fantastic game. very easy to learn and fun to play.However the production quality of the renegade version is subpar. The card board is hard to punch without damaging it. Quite a few card board component would split into several layers. The player boxes are very loose and cannot hold together without applying glue....In a word it's very bad.This is the second renegade game I own. The first is a small card game called the blood of an English man, also a great game but also gave bad experience due to production quality. The cards had a very nasty, chemical smell which makes the game essentially unplayable.I personally will not purchase a renegade title again.

I like complicated games. All pieces were intact. Exactly as advertised.

O jogo é muito bom, no começo é um pouco chato entender as regras pois são muitas, mas depois que se aprende o jogo passa a ser viciante, boa qualidade do material e consegui por um bom preço comparado a outros que encontrei na internet. Só tive problema com a entrega visto que atrasou dois dias do prazo final.
