I'll Teach You How to Light These.... Excellent Coals
For those who are reviewing this product negatively, in the nicest way I imagine you do not regularly smoke hookah/nargile, and likely do not regularly light your own natural coals which is unfair to this product. These are the best, least ashy coals that do not explode, and are absolutely huge cube wise resulting in perfect 3 hour sessions for me. A huge step up from the horror that is coco-nara at this point, and I have yet to find another coal that compares at the moment (closest would be coco-boss for me).To light these, I highly recommend, (require you to) buy a portable coil burner (I personally use a "Family Home 1000w Single Coil Burner" which is sold on Amazon). You will not be able to light these with a lighter like quick lights, and doing these over the stove is beyond counterproductive/messy.My step by step for the novices in the room:- I recommend plugging in that burner (or a similar type 1000w coil burner), putting 3 coals on (if using a tangiers phunnel or similar size bowl such as myself), and then going and doing something else for 10 minutes (this for me is usually done prior to me cleaning, and packing my hookah as the time needed to light is around similar)- About 5 minutes/7 minutes in, go check on your goals and flip them if they are red on the bottom/half way.- Complete your task and go and take the coals off the burner, and put into a coal tray/carrier (I use a Maya brand coal carrier).- Put on your hookah, and rotate if needed (unless using a Lotus heat management system, you will likely want to rotate these a bit for the first few minutes as to not burn your shisha. Spread evenly on the bowl, do not stack them in one spot unless you want an overheat.)- Enjoy your smoke session, and keep in mind the time it took to cook them (IE, if your bowl is starting to get light on smoke and you need more coals, go and throw them on BEFORE you need the new set - that way when youre ready, they are ready)Hope this helps, and keep up the good work Superior!

Never going back to CocoNara again
*I HAVE NOT BEEN INCENTIVIZED OR PAID FOR THIS REVIEW, I HAVE BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT WITH MY OWN MONEY*I always use CocoNara Coals for my hookah. I have noticed though that recently CocoNara has been a hit or a miss for me. Sometimes they are perfect, but most of the time they have been tasting bad or burning to quickly. I know how to heat up the coal properly, I make sure it is lit on all sides and it usually takes 7-10 minutes total. Regardless of whether the CoCoNara coals I was getting were either a bad batch or bootleg, I knew it was time for a change.I bought these and at first I was a little hesitant. I heated them up and they took a little longer than usual to heat up and I noticed their size was slightly larger. I packed some Al Fakher and placed these coals on my Kaloud Lotus. It was a tight fit but 3 do fit if you assort the coal properly. After waiting about 3-4 minutes, I took a hit and was really blown away by how well i could taste the flavor of the shisha and not the coal. The coal was doing it's job really well by heating up the shisha but not adding that nasty taste. After another few minutes I took off one of the coals. The whole session lasted me a little over an hour. I was very pleasantly surprised and ordered another box of these.I highly suggest this product, you get a lot for your money and it really is a quality product!

Great Coals!
These coals are perfect for lower heat type smokers because the coal acts as an HMD. These coals are great for dark leaf but I smoke blonde leaf just fine. Some people might hate the ash but in my opinion its a great feature of the coal. Whenever I want that blast of heat I just need to ash the coals. They do smell while igniting, just like every other coals so light outdoors to be safe. They don't add any taste to your bowl which is always great. A lot of other brands effect the taste of your bowl which make me steer clear of their coals. They lasted about 2 hours from ignition in my situation. You can easily make them last a little longer with an HMD. The cut on the coals isn't perfect but they did tell me it will be fixed on the next batch. What's great about Superior Coco is that they are made in-house in their own factory so they can control the quality and fix issues quick. Other than that, these coals are pretty good. They respond to your emails quick if you have any questions.

Decent coals but yea they take long to light
Let me weigh in... I would say I’m a super user of hookah and can agree with people that these coals take a bit longer to light than similar coconut charcoal cubes. I find the smell to be a little strong while heating compared to other coals, but they do last.I’m good with the taste and how the ash settles after smoking (some coals create a lot of mess that easily get everywhere). I only bought this because my regular go to (cocourth) wasn’t available. I’ll put these coals in my emergency mix. It’s definitely better than coconara

Long lasting, nice heat level, clean flavor.
This is my favorite charcoal for Hookah tobacco, and it lives up to it's name in my opinion. I've been smoking for over 11 years, own over 20 hookahs, 50kg of hookah tobacco, 10 different brands of coals, and I've never found a coal that makes a difference to my hookah sessions like this. Nice 25mm or bigger size in my box, long lasting duration, clean flavor, and the charcoal controls it's heat nicely over the session via it's ash coating. It's great for dark leaf tobaccos as they are generally more heat sensitive. I can get almost 2 hours from 2 Superior Coco cubes inside of an Apple of Top Provost heat manager, which is one of the longest lasting charcoals I've used since I started smoking.Once you use Superior, you'll never go back to brands like Coco Nara. Great for all types of tobacco, but it really shines the best when using with dark leaf brands like Tangiers, Black Lava, Darkside, Trifecta, Starbuzz Vintage, etc.
