Does the paddle reach the sides of the bowl so you don't need to stop and scrape down the sides? Also, is there a splash guard?

Nope and nope. But personally ivevfound scraping th sides nontoxic be a huge chore because it gives you a quick chance to check consistency and as for a splash guard, I've not has any splash back problems yet. But again it depends on the project right?
