Adding to my earlier post and reviews. It got here about 1:30 pm today, I unboxed it and was instantly loving this mazing speaker. It came charged but I let it charge for maybe a full hour the while it was playing music. Disconnected the charging cord and it’s been going strong for a good 9 hours. I’m working late and loving it. See video with sound. I was only able to turn the volume up by two clicks since the family are sleeping. BTW, I called customer service and worked the Chelsea and she was FABULOUS!!! Chelsea is a ROCK STAR and great to work with!!!!

I am SO glad to find this speaker for my 83-year-old dad with dementia, who can no longer use his iphone (even in "Assistive Access" mode) to play music - but who still gets so much joy from hearing all of his beloved 50's music that we had painstakingly collected into Itunes over the years. This really is the answer, after endless searching and disappointments! First, this speaker has big, tactile buttons for all the basic features (play/stop, skip forward and back, louder/softer), and nothing confusing (although I'll add my own labels to the buttons for even greater ease for him). You can put old Itunes music or playlists (and I think other types of music and maybe audiobooks too?) on a little external storage card, and just pop the card into the back of the speaker. No need for him to know how to use his iphone to play music or to maintain a connection to a bluetooth speaker. (Just google for how to convert Itunes songs or a playlist into MP3 format - it's not too hard - and save it onto a 32GB microSD card. I also needed a microSD/USB adapter to connect the card to my computer where the music was stored, but all in all, I spent another $20 and maybe 30 minutes getting this done). It has great sound and is made by a real company. Beware the other poorly-made options out there - boomboxes with USB inputs and music players marketed specifically towards people with dementia. (I appreciate the people who made the effort to design the dementia products, but I had two break immediately and they're much more expensive, too - very disappointing.) This speaker is also the perfect size - not too big but not too small (I saw some speakers with sort of similar features to this, but were so small they'd get lost and would also obviously sound bad). It even looks nice, a little vintage-y. So...I hope people find joy from this. It was awfully hard to find just the right product and I'm so glad I finally did.

I was looking for an office speaker that has better low range than a laptop or my built in monitor speakers etc... Didn't need a "portable" speaker. For the price, this is a great alternative. Super rich sound and easy connection.

As far as portable speakers go, this one’s more on the heftier side, so maybe not ideal if you want to lug it around places, but it makes up for it with superior sound than I am used to. I used it for a long time as designated Bluetooth audio for my Nintendo Switch or laptop, and experienced no issues using it. Lasts a decent amount of time in terms of battery life too. Recommended!
