USDA Organic Amla Powder, Lab Tested for Heavy Metals, Resealable 4oz Pouch, Amalaki, Grosella Espinosa India

This product tasted good and seemed to be of high quality. I am very interested in spices that have been verified to be free (within safe limits) of heavy metals and other toxins. So many spices have been found to be sometimes 100 times the safe levels for toxins like lead that I am really looking for tested and verified safe products. This seems to be one of those though it can be hard to verify for sure.

I use the amla powder to make facial masks. I mix about a half of a teaspoon of the powder with a dash of honey and a couple of tablespoons of plain yogurt or kefir and apply the mix to the face. I leave it on for about 10 min and wipe it off with a wet paper towel. The skin feels softer after the mask.

The amla powder works very good. I got this to add to my smoothies, I use the half the amount and add banana, blueberries and collard greens and it is not very noticeable. I plan to increase it up little by little. I would recommend highly, Thank you!

Good powder. Amla is loaded with vitamin C. I like adding the powder to my smoothies. I also like that this powder is certified organic. It comes in a resealable pouch. I find this powder useful for hair masks as well. it helps to strengthen hair and also helps with dry scalp. I add some other powders and make a paste out of it and apply to hair for 30 minutes to an hour. I find the price to be good.

This amla powder is easy to use and is of good quality. I mix it into my coffee or smoothies and it dissolves easily, with no objectionable flavor or smell. In Ayurveda Indian gooseberries are used often for their numerous health benefits, and I'm seeing more and more brands promoting their own amla products. I think it's becoming a trend. This is a good value for the price and I would definitely order this again. Five stars.

The fruit is generally eaten raw or pickled also. This is one of the fruit which has a bitter taste on biting but then you will feel a sweetness which makes the bitterness go away.I have used this with warm rice for medicinal purposes during stomach upsets.At just $6.99, at the time of the review, this is a good value for a quality product.
