I was really excited to try the Breville Joule Turbo Sous Vide, and at first, everything seemed great. The device looks and feels high-quality, with a sleek design and a solid build. However, my experience quickly turned disappointing.I set the temperature to 75°C for 1.5 hours, and at first, it started heating as expected. But once it reached 45°C, it suddenly stopped heating and the water began to cool down (yes, water level was ok). The circulation pump kept running, but the heating element never turned back on. After that, no matter what I tried, the device refused to heat the water again.Additionally, I faced two unexpected issues as a buyer from the UAE:1. The Breville+ app is not available in the UAE App Store. I had to go through the hassle of creating a US Apple ID just to download it, and then switch back to my original account. This is something potential international buyers should be aware of.2. The power plug requires an adapter since it does not match the standard outlets used in the UAE.I really wanted to like this product, and I was disappointed that it stopped working almost immediately. Despite this, I decided to give it another chance and ordered a new unit, hoping that the first one was just defective. If the second one works properly, I will update my review.For now, I can’t recommend this product based on my initial experience. I expected better reliability from Breville.
