DMC Light Effects Embroidery Floss 8.7yd-Silver

This is pretty and easy to use

It is hard to stitch with, but it is pretty. I will use it to hang Christmas ornaments from.

I make and sell greeting cards to benefit our local library, and I like to add embroidered edges to many of my cards, using embroidery floss or baker's twine (also called 'fancy floss').I have to admit, I struggled with this silver polyester embroidery floss from DMC and had to keep straightening the individual strands as I was pulling it in and out of the card stock. I think it adds a nice shine to the card, though. See customer image for a friendship card I decorated with this silver floss.

Very difficult to get thru the needle, but once its threaded it worked very sell. Looks like 6 strands but really acted more like 12 strands. I used for embroidering "anniversary" for a 25th anniversary pillow - came out well

looks fantastic, but crumbles apart in your hands. tried knot work bracelets but it was impossible.

I thought I was getting more than I did. Ridiculous high cost. Sending back.

This stuff is nearly impossible to use and the plastic silver wrap keeps untangling off the black thread under it. It keeps stripping and tangling up. There's gotta be an easier way to manufacture shiny silver thread than this weird plastic/metalesque material.

This embroidery cotton came quickly, and adds a sparkle to the project!
