Kaplan MCAT 45: Advanced Prep for Advanced Students (Kaplan Test Prep) 9th Edition, Ninth Edition, Ninth

This book does a solid job of putting you through the paces in each part of the MCAT and thereby giving you a higher-level diagnostic than your typical MCAT study book. Each section has its own small exam that is a great way to practice the material without devoting hours on hours of time in test-taking mode. The questions are difficult, comprehensive, and well explained in the back of the book as well. They also include the deceiving questions from years and years back that appear simple but are actually more complex and require a deeper knowledge. Many of the questions that I missed in the book were like that and genuinely surprised me when I looked through my answers.Most importantly, this book is UP TO DATE with the MCAT and how to take it, instead of some of the older books that leave you questioning if the advice given is worth taking. of all the MCAT books I've read through, this one was the most precise and to-the-point, which is the kind of studying that I wanted. Highly recommended

You should get this book AFTER you have thoroughly mastered Kaplan's basic MCAT study books. The questions in this book are designed to test and strengthen critical thinking abilities, the most important skill for MCAT in my opinion. The basic MCAT books give you the core knowledge, this book guides you in using that knowledge in applicable and integrative ways.

It's a little more wordy than I expected, but it definitely is helpful in fleshing out the reason certain answers are right and wrong. I'm a huge fan of Kaplan!

This book is very handy when studying for MCAT. It helps you increase your score. Easy to read and understand

The book was helpful in the sense that it told you what concepts you need to master before you take the MCAT. However, if you want more practice get the MCAT Premier book, this book only had one practice test for each section.
