I recently installed the Govee 6-inch recessed lights in my home, and I am absolutely blown away by them. The entire experience, from unboxing to the final setup, was incredibly straightforward. The installation process was far simpler than I anticipated. The lights are designed with a snap-in connector, which meant I didn't have to deal with any complicated wiring. I simply connected the provided wire nuts to my existing wiring, then plugged the light fixture directly into the junction box. The entire process for each light took me less than ten minutes. The lights also come with strong spring clips that hold them securely in the ceiling without any wobbling. Once the lights were in, the real fun began. The Govee app makes controlling the lights effortless. I can easily adjust the brightness, color temperature, and choose from a seemingly endless array of colors. The lights are also incredibly vibrant and can be dimmed to a very low level without any flickering, which is perfect for creating a cozy atmosphere. I also love the different dynamic scene modes that cycle through colors, making it easy to set the mood for a party or just add a little excitement to a room. Overall, I can't recommend these lights enough. If you're looking for a simple, effective, and feature-rich way to upgrade your home's lighting, these Govee recessed lights are the perfect solution.

I was looking at the local hardware stores for some recessed lighting options, and everything was just so mundane and boring. Then I thought about Govee and all the other Govee LEDs I already had at home and wondered if they had any recessed lighting options, and they sure did. And actually the same or slightly cheaper than the ones at the store. And obviously being Govee, I knew they would have a lot more flexibility and options. The install was easy, they give you everything you need, even push in wire connectors, although I used my own Wago connectors. I bought a 6 + 3/8” recessed lighting hole saw kit for the ceiling, and while it did work, I would say that you should probably just use a 6” one because the one that I used made the holes a bit too big and the Govee lights barely cover the whole thing. Of course the Govee app is great. The brightness is good if you use the illumination mode, and you can choose the Kelvin of the white. Also never had any issues using Google Voice commands with Govee products either. Overall, a great idea for recessed lighting if you’re bored of the same old stuff from your local hardware store.

Very easy install if you have basic lighting experience. Colours are bright, lights are adjustable (K) and dimmable. EVERYTHING is done in the app. Dimmer switch on the wall will make these less useful. Use a regular switch. I have these on a dimmer because I thought I could dim them but you can't they, Just flicker and turn off. You need to dim them in the app. Again everything is doen in the app. You can save light settings that you like such as 100% bright at Purple colour or 2 lights on 2 lights off etc. These are bright, we only have 4 pot lights spread out in a 400 sqft area. I thought I would need to do work to add more lights but these 4 x 6inch lights are bright enough for the space. It was surprising! Very happy with the install, I had brackets in the ceiling with a bowl housing for the old light. I was able to pull down the bowl, the bracket would not come out it was installed before the ceiling drywall was on (by the builder) I used a long screwdriver and pressed up on the side of the old bracket until in bent up enough to fit the new lights. These were quite easy to install. My installer took about an hour to do all four and most of that was because the builder did everything in the dumbest way possible when installing the original cans. I just needed to remove the cans from my original pot lights. They covered the space perfectly. They work well through the app, the light switch or Alexa. I’m very happy with them in my living room. I’m definitely considering the flat lights to replace the horrible dome ones the builder put in.
